Default Problem after Time Machine System Restore in 10.6.8

    Hello,
I see bits of this problem posted all over and fixes from 10.5 but nothing relating to 10.6+. I had a bad sibling node on my main HD and did a full system restore after reformatting the HD. I had a similar problem last year on my other computer and just rebooted with idisk ran chameleon and everything was OK. This time I booted from idisk ran Chimera and I got KP's from several different causes, It now wont boot from idisk. I am doing another reformat and system restore and I figure I've got one try to boot and fix it or I will have to reformat it and try again. Is there a definitive guide on what to do after a system restore? Thanks C

It is an i5-760 on a h55m-ud2h with 8gigs ram and a GT430. It is my second hack.

You already made the "First Aid" tasks from the Disk Utility on the installation DVD on your iDisk???

Maybe you have some problems due to wrong permissions or corrupt files...

    Hello,
yes I did a complete repartition of the new disk and did a repair on the backup. I am able to boot once after sys restore using iboot. If I dont do the correct fix I cant even boot using iboot, it stalls right before you get to the disk selection part.

OK, I redid the whole thing and on the first boot did the 10.6.8 update again along with re installing the needed kext's and running pfix etc. I now have a different sibling node problem, I thought by reformatting the disk and doing system restore from time machine that would fix it. The time machine back up didnt have any problems, would it just reinstall it with the node error? Thanks Chris
