Its a T61, intel core2, NVIDIA graphics, 4 gb ram, from all the posts I have read, and all the videos I have watched It should work...... any help please...... Thanks.

    It should work:

    HCL 10.6.4/Portables - OSx86

    Have you checked if your BIOS is set correctly?
    For more info check here:

    Have you used some boot flags, like

    -v -x

    or

    -v -f

    or

    arch=i386 -v -x

    etc...

    You should try also with iAtkos s3 v2, with default options.

    You need to install Chameleon bootloader. Pick one:

    Thanks for your reply and all of your help. I tryed 3 or 4 versions of chameleon. with no boot flags they all go to white apple screen, then a dark like curtain comes down and says to press the power button to restart computer. with boot flags -v -f it stops at System uptime in nanoseconds 5076828840. with boot flags arch=i386 -v -f it stops at macframe work successfully initialized using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 cluster 10 buffer headers..... is there something else I can try? thanks again!

    Try to update to 10.6.8. Before that delete SleepEnabler.kext, repair permissions and rebuild cache with Kext Wizard and reboot.

    OK, I trashed Sleep Enabler, repaired permissions and rebuilt cache with Kext Wizard Installed update 10.6.1 no problems, installed update 10.6.2 combo pack. now nothing. will not boot from HD or with the help of the newcom cd. I have used all the boot flags.
    -f -v

    -v -x

    -v -f

    arch=i386 -v -f

    and they all end at

    [ PCI configuration begin ]

    stops dead there

    whats next?

    thanks again for all of your help

    I know I ll get this thanks.

    You mean 10.6.8, right?

    For [ PCI configuration begin ] bug, use this flag:

    npci=0x2000

    to fix this problem, download the ACPI PCI Kexts version 10.6.7 from here install it using kext wizard , on the option “maintenance” and “installations” select “System / Library / Exensions”, then restart your computer.

    Installed that kext with kext wizard and restarted. workrd perfect.....

    also still not getting sound, or wireless, but getting to know my way around.

    I used the Chameleon bootloader on my T61 as well works great!
    When I upgraded from 10.6.3 to 10.6.8 combo update and used multibeast I had to do this
    Install IOATAFAMILIY after installing and boot in with -x
    reboot normal and a odd curtian screen will come up because of the GMAX3100
    did this
    1. Install the base system. When the system reboots, you'll need to stop it when it prompts for startup options.
    2. Start in single user mode, using -s
    3. mount -uw /
    4. rm -r /system/library/extensions/AppleIntelGMAX*.*
    5. exit
    Install Intel82566mm for ethernet wired
    Intell wireless will not work you need an athos one.
    I also HIGHLY suggest you get Carbon Copy Cloner and clone your drive once you have a stable system so you can restore it when it breaks from installing kext files that cause KP's!

    My one issue and only issue is when I close the lid it goes into Sleep Mode (Moon is flashing) but it will not wake up!
    I have to use the power button to reboot it ..
    Any ideas or hints?
