I thought I would try for my 20th time to try and boot this snow leopard 10.6.3 on this Dell Inspiron 15 - N5040 i3 processor and I always get a black boot error message no matter which version of Chameleon I use, does anyone have a clue why it can't be done, I have searched and searched, any clues?

    Many Thanks,

    d-1

I have tried this tutorial and I have no idea what he means by finding the i386 folder, typing cd and dragging the folder into terminal?

Where is that Chameleon folder located, I installed a package...?

Here is a snap shot of that boot sector running in my terminal , not too clear though.

Go here, and download some newer Chameleon with .tgz extension, for example Chameleon-2.1svn-r1747.tgz :

    BuildBot

Extract it and inside usr/standalone you'll se i386 folder. Cd means Change Directory, so you need to do exactly that: type cd and drag that folder (i386) to the Terminal window...

I'll try and look into it. I know I tried the 747 Chameleon off our site.

Since it's an i3 processor I wonder if it has something to do with the busratio?

I put 4 solid days into it and it wore me out.
