Thread: Mac OSX on Dell Optiplex not able to update to 10.6.7 or 10.6.8

Dear OSX86 members, (sorry for my bad english)

I just installed OSX on my dell optiplex 780, only i got the following incident.

My configuration:
CPU: INTEL PENTIUM DUAL CORE E5400
MEM: 2048MB (2X1024MB) 1333MHZ DDR3
CHIPSET: Intel Q45 Express w/ICH10D0
VGA (Onboard): Intel GMA 4500
VGA (PCI-Ex): XFX ATI 5450 512 Mb
Network: Integrated Intel® 82567LM
Harddisk: Westerdigital 250GB SERIAL ATA II 3GB/S

I used the Blangsak bood disk and a Mac OSX Retial DVD.

After the installtion of MAC OSX i tryed to update my system to 10.6.7 or 10.6.8 only the update is failt many times. So after the (failt) installation of the Combo updates i try to install Multi-Beast 3 (default EasyDST and intel nC1000 nic) When mutibeast was finish I downloaded the display drivers for my ATI 5450 and install them.

Only when i reboot my system i still got the problem that i see the default space background only the system will not boot up compleet. I don't see the menu items and icons

If any one got an advise it would be welkom,

I followed the manual and at the first time I was not able to install Mac OSX on my harddrive. What have i done to solve this, at the first i used the Blanksak ISO and follow the normal installation. After the normal installtion (the first reboot) i ejected my Mac OSX Retial dvd and put in the IBoot 2.5 iso and statup from my harddrive. At that moment i can install complete Mac OSX 10.6.7 including Multibeats 3.x.

This week i try to install this week Lion 10.7.2
