Thread: Snow leo 10.6.2 hazard can't get all hardware working

Hi there

I installed hazard 10.6 on my pc
With following patches
Amd patch
Legacy kernel
Apple rtc
Snow leo update 10.6.1 and 10.6.2
The setup succeded but at the restart process i got a kernel panic
Voodoo ....:-(
I restartet manualy and bootet with -v
The system got up and almost everything works fine!
Yeah almost...
In the about this mac tab no cpu is shown
Yesterday i allready istalled it and it showed mit cpu ( athlon 64 x2) why this time not?

My sound, internet and graphics didn't work too!!!:-(
So i searched the web for kexts and found almost everything.and even got my internet connection work:-)
But only this
I can't get any compatible kexts for sound and grafics
The one's i found and installed got me into kernel panics so i had to reinstall mac os about 15 times!!!:-( or they aren't compatible with mac os 10.6.2
I don't know what am i doin wrong

My hardware specs are

Mobo asrock alivenf6p vsta
Grafik geforce gts 450
Cpu athlon 64 x2 6000+
sound realtek alc662
wireless lan adapter netgear wg111v3

I hope someone could help me plz im doin nozhing other than installing and reinstalling mac os since 2days now
And searching the web for any infos

Yes i did the setup with following settings
Legacy kernel
Amd patch
Apple rtc
And the snow leo updates 10.6.1 and 10.6.2

Are you still getting any or those errors

Yes still the same crap:-(
And i cant find the right kext for my soundchip alc662 from realtek
And same prob with grafiks:-(

I searched the download section here
And found some but only for gigabyte mobos
When i install them i only get some strange sound
The nvidia geforce kexts only work with 10.6.8
What the hell iam doin wrong!!!???

Okay relax try installing the combo update for 10.6.8 the kernels and the graphics kext lets see if we can at least get that working

I did a bit of looking and I found a kept for your Audio

For your graphics do you have a kext that doesn't let you install or doesn't work?

I tried the update but now my system won't boot anymore.

I also tried to install from retail disc with nawcoms boot cd and it worked great even the sound works out of the box but
i cant install the combo update 10.6.8 it fails
The certificate is ok but it won't install
So i tried 10.6.2 update first and he did it now i'm on 10.6.2 with my retail install
Then i tried 10.6.4 and it fails again
I searched on google for same issues but the solutions postet there not working
The certificate of my updates are ok till 2019.

And about the graphics kext its the tonymac nvidia update
And its only compatible with 10.6.8 so ive got to get there:-(

Okay good the sound is working but have you tried installing 10.6.8 straight away that way you won't need the updates

yes at first i tried to update straight away
To 10.6.8 and my system wouldnt start anymore
I reinstalled it and then i did start with 10.6.2 which finished succesfull
Bur the 10.6.4 10.6.7 10.6.8 did't do it.
I was reading about somethin on tonymac ''update helper'' i'll try this now
