    Use DSDT Auto-Patcher to generate a new DSDT for you, but before you run the app, remove the older one
    and restart OS X > DSDT Auto-Patcher - updated on 05/04/2011 - Downloads - Kexts.com

    Put the Generated DSDT on your /Extra folder and install this Chameleon > http://www.kexts.com/view/1429-chame...rc5-r1096.html

    Replace the contents of your com.apple.Boot.plist for the contents below, after this, duplicate the file and
    rename the copy to org.chameleon.Boot.plist and keep both files on your /Extra folder...

    Code:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0">
    <dict>
    	<key>DSDT</key>
    	<string>/Extra/dsdt.aml</string>
    	<key>Kernel</key>
    	<string>mach_kernel</string>
    	<key>Kernel Flags</key>
    	<string></string>
    	<key>Graphics Mode</key>
    	<string>1280x1024x32</string>
    	<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
    	<string>Yes</string>
    	<key>PciRoot</key>
    	<string>0</string>
    	<key>USBBusFix</key>
    	<string>Yes</string>
    	<key>Timeout</key>
    	<string>5</string>
    	<key>Legacy Logo</key>
    	<string>Yes</string>
    	<key>GeneratePStates</key>
    	<string>Yes</string>
    	<key>GenerateCStates</key>
    	<string>Yes</string>
    </dict>
    </plist>
    Reboot and boot up in Verbose Mode ( -v )...

    This will fix CMOS Reset, Sleep, Restart, Shutdown and with some luck the video...

    For your audio, i use this kexts (My sound is ALC888 too) > x64_audio_for_ALC888.zip

    Also, remove your smbios, let chameleon set your smbios config to iMac8,1 for better native
    Power Management...

    Let me know if works...

    Good...

    For video try this NVEnbaler_64bit > Nvenabler Testing And Discussion - Project OS X Forums

    Remove this key from your com.apple and org.chameleon.Boot.plist...

    Hi guys!
    I have experienced the same issues (sound, ethernet gone and CMOS reset) with my GA-EP45-DS3. However, I didn't notice any problems with my NVIDIA GeForce 9400GT. I solved my sound issues by using Sound ALC885_889a.kext for LION and eth issue solved by using the RealtekRTL81xx.kext. The only downside of those two is that tutorial said I need to install them into my Lion System folder, instead in Extra/Extensions or Extensions.mkext. This is what I would like to do in the end and keep my Lion installation vanilla.

    A few questions I would kindly ask the answer for:

    1. Can I use the same steps as described above, to fix my CMOS reset problem?
    2. In my current com.apple.Boot.list I have this key:
    <key>PCIRootUID</key>
    <string>1</string>
    and you are using
    <key>PciRoot</key>
    <string>0</string>
    What is the difference? Am I using the correct one for my MoBo?
    3. How can I boot into OS X if I remove the DSDT? Usually (as far as I recall my tries before) it KP's
    4. Although I didn't experience any issues with my GPU, should I move to NVEnbaler_64bit?

    Many thanks!

    Hy Skipper!!!

    The only kext that you really have to put in /System/Library/Extensions is the Patched AppleHDA...

    All the other you can leave on /Extra/Extensions...

    Yes, using a DSDT genertaed by Auto-Patcher will solve all ACPI related issues without kexts
    like ElliottForceRTC, SleepEnabler, CMOS, etc...

    PciRoot and PCIRootID are the same flag, the value 0 or 1 vary from system by system...
    An esay way to find the correct value is using this app > http://www.kexts.com/view/1483-lizard_unofficial.html , and in
    the basics section, on the PCI Root field, click on Auto Detec Value...

    Don't need to remove, rename the DSDT and reboot, if don't work use this flag at boot DSDT=/Extra/olddsdt.aml, and use
    the windows or linux version of Auto-Patcher to generate a new one...

    No, if you gat full QE/CI without artiflacts and don't use any video kext, keep the current configuration...
