Default Having troubles with Iatkos L2 and my Toshiba Laptop

    Hello everyone,
I warn you, my english is far from being perfect.. But still, I manage to understand quite well..
So, I'm having many troubles with Iatkos L2 installation.
First of all, my PC is a Toshiba L755. Here are the Specs. If ever you need more specs, I'll do my best to get more specs info.

    Let me sum up..
I made a partition using windows disk utility.. Then I expanded the dmg Iatkos L2 and I burned it to a DVD using Transmac..
    I booted on the DVD.
Inside Iatkos Installation process, I went to the "Disk Utility". I erase and format my Mac OSX HD partition into
    HFS+ journaled extended..
Then I started the installation. I chose "Customize" and I tried a first install without touching to the default settings (So Chameleon, Iatkos, and several patches were enabled)..
The installation process started but failed at about 70%..

I restarted my PC and tried another customize setting.. This time I selected some patches/drivers and I tried to match the best with what I know of my laptop..
The installation managed to work, and seemed to be successful..

When I rebooted my PC (the DVD was still in) the boot failed.
"Boot error." And I had to restart.. Same problem appears when the DVD isn't mounted..

This is my first issue.. Dual boot and boot in general doesn't work (anymore, even for windows 7).
Edit : My Mac partition was set to "logical" I've read that I should put it in "Primary", Right ?

I had to boot on the Iatkos DVD and then I was able to choose between Iatkos Installation, Windows 7 and Mac OS X !
Windows 7 boots very good from this DVD.. Unfortunately, for Mac OS X, I'm having more troubles..
When I choose Mac OS X from the DVD boot, the Mac logo appears, the little wheel spins for a while.. But then, the screen goes darker and a kernel panic appears in several languages..

"You need to restart your computer..."

Behind the kernel panic, I can see a verbose message, If the infos I'm giving you aren't enough, I could send you a picture of that screen..

    So, to sump up..
My boot seems to be screwed up (Even for windows 7) and I would like to repair it without having to repair windows 7..
I definetly don't know what patches/drivers I should select.. Regarding to my specs, what should I choose ? (I managed to get the installation done, but It screwed during the install..)
Is there any kext I should remove from the dmg file ?
What are you advising me for my install ?
If ever I manage to succeed (thanks to you all), how could I dual boot without having to boot on the DVD ?

Well, thanks in advance, I'm asking you a huge help..
I'll do my best to follow your wonderful advices.
    Have a nice day/night.

Made your installation without select "any" additional kexts and utilities less Chameleon, FakeSMC.kext and NullCPUPowerManagement.kext...

After the installation, use the -f -v flag`s to boot the system...

Hey ! Thanks for your help !

So, I followed your instructions :
    1) I tried to install Iatkos on a HFS+ journaled extended partition (Primary, not logical this time !)
In the "Customize" window, I only enabled Iatkos, Chameleon and FakeSMC.. I've searched for NullCPUPowerManagement but I haven't found it.. (Even in patches & drivers..). (Any idea of where it could be ?)

The install failed (at 70% again..)

    2) I tried again the install process, but this time I enabled the Nvidia Driver that seemed to match my Nvidia Card.. I also selected Iatkos, Chameleon and FakeSMC.. The installation was a success ! And after the reboot, chameleon seemed to work better ! I didn't have to boot on the DVD and I was able to choose between Windows 7 or Mac !.. Unfortunately, when I loaded Mac, I got a kernel panic (again..)

    3) That's why I decided to install again, without the Nvidia Driver.. So this time : Iatkos+Chameleon+FakeSMC.. (And still no NullCPUPowerManagement.kext..) The installation failed again.. And my boot got screwed AGAIN.. Damn !

    4) At the end, I decided to install again as I did in the 2) part.. In order to get my chameleon boot repaired.. The installation failed. And now, I'm really really lost.. I don't get it.. The same settings in both installs.. And I don't get the same result..

    To sum up :
Now my boot is screwed again..
Iatkos settings seems to be pretty unpredictable..
NullCPUPower(...) doesn't appear in my setting choices..
What should I do know ?..

    2 more little questions :
    - I checked in my BIOS, and I haven't found any way to put my SATA to AHCI.. Is AHCI really essential ?
    - If ever I manage to get the installation done again (crossfingers..).. How do I boot in -v or -f mode ? Since my computer directly boot from chameleon and I can only select Windows 7 or Mac.. Without having the possibility to type any command..

Thanks again for your help. Ask me anything you want that could help you to figure out what is my problem..
    Cya !

I don`t know what could be happening because I never used this Distro...

If you can see your disks on the Installation Disk Utility, you don`t need SATA as AHCI...

NullCPUPower it`s a essential kext, so, if you can`t select him, probably the installation must be automatic...

To inser boot flag`s, before you press ENTER on your desired Boot Device, write the flag`s and then press ENTER (you will see what you are writing on the bottom of your screen...

Mhhh, I'll try some other install config until I manage to complete the installation process.. Then I'll try to boot with -v -f flags.
    Thanks for your time.
Is there any other distro that I could use ? (That would be compatible with my config, of course..)
(Oh, and thanks for the ACHI info !)

    See ya !

    Edit :
My school is "Apple Certified" I do have a retailed version of Lion ! If ever that could help..

    Additionnal Info :
I found it VERY weird that with the exact same settings, the installation manages to work in some cases and it fails in other cases.. I'm wondering if my DVD could be corrupted.. Or if the temperature could affect the installation..
(each time the install fails, It stucks at "3 min left"..)
So, I'm waiting for your instructions !

Should I stay with the same method ? Should I burn another CD ? Should I boot from a USB device ? I'll wait for your answers !

    I believe no...

Maybe you are getting this panic because you let the system try to enter in SleepMode due to devices inactivity...

Try moving your mouse between 2 or 3min till the end of the installation...

So, I tried again several times.. And finally, after playing around (A lot !) with Mac OS X Installer (in order to preven the systemto enter in SleepMode) I managed to get the installation done !
(With these options : Iatkos+FakeSMC+Chameleon+NVenabler (the Nvidia Driver))

Now, the boot works fine (I'm able to choose between windows 7 or Mac OS without having to boot with the DVD..). But when I continue the installation (by choosing Mac OS X), the mac logo appears, and the wheel under is spinning.. Unfortunately, the wheel stops and the system seems to freeze.. The only way to get out of that is to shut down the PC..

The positive points are that I'm not having kernel panic after the installation (but the OS is stucked..) and the boot is repaired !

Oh and I almost forgot, booting using -v or -f or -v -f doesn't work.. Booting using -f doesn't change anything, and booting using the verbose mode only shows a hug amount of text, but at the end the system is stucked.. (Do you want me to take a picture of that verbose mode ?).

So, what should I do know ?
Re-installing with different patches/drivers (and stimuling the mouse/keyboard during the install ?)
Or should I try another install method ?

Thanks again for your help !

Boot your already installed system using iAtkos DVD, use Chameleon Wizard, update your Chameleon and generate a org.chameleon.Boot.plist with basic settings for your system...

You can use this as base > http://www.osx86.net/guides-tutorial...er-basics.html

And optionally, you can use SMBios options that more approach to your system > http://www.osx86.net/guides-tutorial...s-options.html

Hmmm, I might be taken for a real newbie, but how I'm supposed to generate a org.Chameleon.boot.plist ?
When I boot on my OS X existing system (using the Iatkos DVD) It sends me to the chameleon screen.
Such as this one -> http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_o19m6RdW3I...O9Y/s400/c.jpg (Except mine have Iatkos L2 theme)
How do I manage to open the Chameleon Wizard from this step ? (I still can't load the Mac OS X system, it loads for about 3min and then It gets stucked at the apple logo..). I took a fast look at your tutorials, they seem to be very well explicated, but apparently, to be able to do these things, I must have access to the mac files.. And I don't have this access..

Thanks again for your time !

    Additionnal info..
When I boot Mac OSX in -v mode, It ends (and stucks) at "NVEnabler" which is the driver I've chosen for my Nvidia card..
I reckon I do have to install again without it ?
May the other installations have failed because the computer felt "asleep" during the install process ? (I took care to move the mouse at each install.. But when I started to play around with Mac OS X Installer options (Such as opening the log report during the install..) It seemed to me that the install process worked better ! (Well, At Least it managed to end, and not to fail at about 70%).

So, It's time to sleep ! Thank you for your help !
When I'll wake up, what should I do ? Trying another install ?

Anyways, before doing anything else, I'll wait for more infos about your "Chameleon wizard & stuff" !

    Have a nice day/night mate ! Cya.

Is better if you reinstall the system without install any device driver...

After this, we take care of the rest...
