Thread: Updating to Lion from Snow Leopard on AMD

Hi everyone!
Today I finally installed successfully Snow Leopard on my PC following this amazing guide:

I was shocked that I was able to do it from the Retail DVD (after trying with lots of distros)

However, Snow Leopard doesn't support my GPU , while Lion does. So I want to update to Lion... but if it's possible, I don't want to use distros such as iAtkos, since I was able to do it from the Retail.

ASUS M5A78L-M LX
AMD Phenom II x4 965BE
nvidia GTX 550 ti
4gb ram

Unfortunately theres no patched AMD kernel for Lion yet...

You can update to 10.6.8, which will allow u to use a lot of lion applications

I did not
If you don't won't to give up you may try updating to the last version of Snow and installing Lion's gtx 550 kernel on it...
I don't think it will work, but it's worth the shot!
