    Default Acer Aspire 5742G - iAtkos l2

    Hi everyone,

i want to install Lion on my Acer Aspire 5742G notebook.
I downloaded iAtkos l2 and burned it to a DVD.

    My laptop:
    Intel Core i5 480M
    4GB RAM
    NVIDIA GT 540M 2GB

I tried to install it with the standart configuration, but after installing it freezes at the bootscreen (with and without boot from DVD) and after a long time of waiting it plays some funny music...

Then i read that i have to delete all the graphic .kext-files in the System/Library/Extension Folder on the DVD.

So my first question is how to delete it and what. I installed TransMac, but that tool said "read-only".
Now i installed MacDrive, but again i cannot delete any file.

So what do i have to delete? i found IOGraphicsFamily.kext... this one?
And how can i delete these?

    Thanks!!

Change the TransMac option to have Read/Write access to HFS+ partitions...

You need to delete all AppleIntelHDGraphics* and AppleIntelSNB* that you have on the /System/Library/Extensions folder...

    Hi,
i cannot find any of these files in System/Library/Extensions.
Maybe there are in an other direction?

Are there other possibilitys why my system won't boot?
    Thanks!

    The * means "Anything after"...

    AppleIntelHDGraphics(Anything After).kext

    AppleIntelSNB(Anything After).kext

Transmac will show you as folders and not as files...

Yes, i know that, but the only 2 things i found with AppleIntel... is AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext and AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementClient.kext...

Just to be right, that we are talking about the same... i am editing the iATKOS_L2.dmg file which i would burn after that and install from that... do you mean the same or the finished partition on the harddrive?

    Thanks!

Backup the kexts before delete from /S/L/E...

Later you will need the original ones to try video acceleration....
