hi. im new in this forum. i have a packard bell notebook with i7 processor.

Although i try to press F8 or any other key (like it says me to do), nothing happens. please help me with this dual boot problem. i wonder selecting my Apple partition drive to install iatkos, can this be happen without damaging windows 7? thank you...

    My system is:

    Intel core i7-2630QM
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M 2GB
    6GB DDR3 Memory

    Try these flags:

    -v -x GraphicsEnabler=No

    or

    -v -f GraphicsEnabler=No

When you install Mac OS X, you'll probably need to repair win7 bootloader and then make OS X partition active, in order to have working dual boot.

Just press any key on boot or f8 and type one of these lines (you'll see it appearing on bottom left corner). When you, hopefully, arrive to install menu, go to Disk Utility and format that fat32 partition to Mac OS X Extended(journaled). Then install OS X.

To repair windows you'll ned windows 7 install dvd. Just boot it and use repair option....

and found this .iso file :

    http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&at tach_id=93717

after writing it to a cd and booting it i ejected the cd and put in the iatkos DVD and pressed f5 and tried

    -v busratio=17 arch=x86_64 ncpi=0x2000

I can't open that link. But if you are using some kind of boot cd, you'll need retail version of Mac OS X, not distro...

On Chameleon boot screen. When you see Chameleon loading, then type f8. HAve you enabled AHCI in BIOS? Do you use usb keyboard? These things could help too...

    @abhiank209

Use -v -f or -v -x flags. Post your configuration.

well..i checked but didnt find any option of enabling AHCI in the BIOS

i checked in the device manager in win7 and i have this device :

Intel(R) 5 Series 4 Port SATA AHCI Controller

and also i tried these in the chameleon bootloader menu :
    -v -x GraphicsEnabler=No

    and

    -v -f GraphicsEnabler=No as posted by @noname

    but even that didnt work!!!!

    and yes ,
    my config is :

    *Intel i5 460m processor
    *ATI mobility radeon premium graphics
    *Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset Family SMBus Controller - 3B30
    *4GB RAM

    its a HP dv6 3123tx running Windows 7 Ultimate
