Default iAtkos L2 - screen full of black and white boxes

First of all, I'd like to greet all of you, as it's my first post here. I've searched the board for an answer to my problem but haven't found a solution yet.

I've successfully installed iAtkos L2 onto my machine, having deselected all graphic drivers - both the GraphicEnabler and all other VGA enablers available in the package.
Attempts to use either the GraphicEnabler or the NVEnabler ended up with the screen getting filled with black and white rectangles. My graphic card is a Gigabyte GeForce 9600GT, and my motherboard model is Asus P5LD2 SE/C. What driver should I install in order to get full VGA performance?

    Cheers,
    Mike

My only question concerns the GraphicsEnabler=Yes option. I installed the system with GraphicsEnabler unchecked in the list of add-ins; will the option work anyway?

Well, I tried to boot the system with no additional kexts installed and using the GraphicsEnabler=Yes option and didn't succeed, saw just rubbish and no real image on the screen. What might be the problem?

Go to nVidia and check to see if they have drivers for Mac. I do believe they may have one that will work, can you boot into safe mode? -x at the boot prompt...

Nope check that, I just checked for you drivers on nvidia and they don't have them for Lion. Let me check around and see if there are any other options for you.

Okay read this thread it may help.

I appreciate your attempt to help me out. I've checked out the link you gave me but it is a bit confusing to me, since it mainly concerns the Mountain Lion, it does however give some useful tips.

I've updated my Chameleon to the newest version using Chameleon Wizard. Didn't help, though. Going to try the EFI String thing now, but it's still a bit confusing to me and I don't fully know what I'm doing. Curious to see what happens.

UPDATE: I dumped NVCAP from my video card bios, converted it to hex using OSX86Tools and put it into the device properties thing using Chameleon Wizard. Unfortunately, this way yields the same problem, albeit in a slightly different way, I've got a black screen with a white square box that moves when I drag the mouse. I've had it before, so no progress here.
    I really don't know what's going on..

Yeah m8 I have no idea why you are having this problem. Mine activated straight away once I included my device string in my plist file. I am not certain there is a way to get it to work. You may consider purchasing a video card that is supported and installing that. I wish there was more I could do for you. But getting information on how to install unsupported hardware on Snow Leopard is getting harder to find considering most have moved on to Lion. I haven't tackled that issue yet.
    Good luck to you.

I've solved the problem. Dunno which one of the following actually helped, but what I did was:
    1) update the system to 10.7.4
    2) boot with GraphicsEnabler=Yes AND npci=0x200

I've got a vague feeling that right after the installation the npci option might have been set as above, but I'm not sure about it. Anyway, with those two options and the system updated to 10.7.4, it works like a charm.

Again, thank you very much for your efforts to help me

Great m8, glad to hear you got it sorted. Yeah you have to have that flag in your plist file "ncpi=0x2000" I ran into that problem when I updated to 10.6.7. Now you should be ready to tackle Lion since your hardware is better supported than mine. Make sure you make a full backup of your current installation before you do so that way you can restore the image in case Lion fails.
    Great job and congrats

Yup of course, I've just backed the whole system partition up using SuperDuper into a .dmg file (I'm not really into the Time Machine thing, but who knows what'll be later?).
Now I've only got to make sleep function work properly, but after all it's a desktop and I don't really use it that often anyway.
