Thread: Asus K73SV Hackintosh Notebook, need help and answers.

Hi Forum,

I have a Asus K73SV, the core i7 version with the Nvidia GT 540M. Full specs:
ASUS - Notebooks- ASUS K73SV

Also i have a working DVD Burner and an 16 GB usb flash drive. Maybe another thing to note is that i have a macbook 4.1 running leopard at my availibility.

I would like to install Lion on this machine with the extra possibility of dualbooting to Windows.
I have done some research and I know the basics of the installation process. Still I am fairly new to all this and have some questions.

My first question is are there any of you who have tried a hackintosh with this machine or a machine similar to this one? I have read about several different asus notebooks that can run Mac os x but im still in doubt about my own machine.

What should i expect? Are there any major problems or things I should keep in mind before trying all this. I also want to know about how, for instance can the hackintosh do all the multi touch gestures of Mac os x.

Also, How do I do it? What method should I use to install Lion on to my machine? What are the differences between the intstallation alternatives?

If you have the Lion app or an image of Lion already the easiest was to make a USB bootable flash drive is by using myHack. It will create the flash drive and make it bootable by using your existing Macbook.
