Thread: Sound trough S/PDIF Optical or HDMI. Help! Asus Maximus IV Extreme GTX 580

Good day,

Just a quick question,
I successfully installed Lion with iAtkos L2, on my PC.
Specs:
- Asus Maximus IV Extreme B3
- i7 2600K
- EVGA GTX 580

Everything (mostly) works... but just not my sound trough my S/PDIF optical out.
(I'm using Turtle Beach X41 connected with optical) (Sound trough HDMI would be an option, if I have to...)

I installed the AppleHDA Rollback driver using Multibeast, didn't work.

Thanks, voodoohda worked... but extremely annoying sound. More crackling than music.
I downloaded a custom Realtek 889 driver which patched the AppleHDA.kext and that worked HDMI and SPDIF work now (7.1 surround)
