It's for tests, not for the install. You have only to (backup and) remove all the existing audio kexts, and then install the new kext and repair permissions with Kext Utility.
For more look at tonymacX86 Forum ..

how you all do this ? You simply put these kext in S/L/E ? Nothing happens on my machine ... ? When I restart I still have no sound to chhose in system panel ... nothing is clickable. Whatever I do ...

I think what MacGrumel meant was after you deleted the kexts was to either do it from that program which I am about to test but if not you can open disk utility and repair permissions. That might be why you can't click on anything. I am having the same issue with a on-board Realtek Audio HD card on a Gigabyte GA-H67MA-USB3-B3. I am not able to find out the exact model num of my sound card. 2 of them are showing up for me because my ATI graphics card has HDMI so it shows (2) audio devices. When I used one of those programs in windows that are suppose to show you the specs I got Giga-Byte Cougar Point High Definition Audio Controller (which is the on-board) and MSI Manhattan HDMI Audio [Radeon Mobility 5000 Series] which is on my graphics card. But I also read in device manager that my onboard said Realtek High Def. **NOT TRYING TO HIGHJACK YOUR THREAD** Just though since we are basically having the same issue with the same card we could work together. Just wanted to give some info. I read somewhere before I started that pretty much all the onboard Realtek on the Gigabyte boards BASICALLY worked the same as far as getting them to work. Let me know @macmunch if you get any more info! Send me a private message if you already have something or anything or ANYONE else. Thanks!
