ALC887 not working
hello all
have a system up and running but no sound.
have looked at some files and have tried them but still not able to get this working.
system specs
P8H61-MLE mb
2.79 core i7
4 gb ram
Nvidia gefore 465
every thing works but the audio, i get a burst of static on boot up, but when going into the sound config section
there is no device showing up.
have tried a few files but no change.
any ideas at all.

thanks for the response, but any thing i tried while running 10.6.8 would make the load unstable and it would not boot.
upgrade to 10.7.3 resolved the sound issue.
