Thread: [GUIDE] Gigabyte EP43-UD3L installed Mac OS X 10.7 Lion - Updated to 10.7.2

Hey there,

I've been trying this installation method and it doesn't seem to be working.

Here's my hardware:
E6850
P31-DS3L (F8 BIOS)
EVGA 9800GTX
OCZ Reaper 2x2GB DDR2-800

BIOS Settings:
Suspend Mode is set to S3
HPET set to 64bit
Do not have ACHI option

Here's what I've done (using 10.7 on VMWare Player in Windows 7):
-Tried Kakewalk 4.1.1 - would fail to recover basesystem.dmg and could not fix
-Tried Kakewalk 4.1.0 - didn't have any issues; was able to make a USB install stick

-Booted up and used the install stick
-Went through entire installation without problems. Automatic restart
-Begins booting to HDD. Goes through the gray screens with drivers and kexts loading. Hangs indefinitely on black screen with "Darwin" at the top.

Right now I can't get any further than this. Is there anything I'm doing wrong here? Do I need to update my BIOS?

Ok, was able to install and reboot using the EP45-DS3L selection in Kakewalk 4.1.1. Now going through the multibeast with 4.2.1

Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 work like dream.
(All works except Sleep Mode)

after all I got to install the kexts from ioahciblock, all we did is put my sata HD in gray (as internal hard disk), and before it had oranges (external hard drive)

bios configure is:

Ahci.
port sata 0-3 native(or something): enable
ide controller: enable

I tried to deactivate ide controller and port sata native but nothing

Rewriter Samsung sata
HD:
-2Tb Sata
-80 Gb ide xDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Please change this IDE to SATA HDD.
AHCI mode is best-default combination.
