Thread: how to make display smoother

i have hp L1908wm..monitor.........and it needs 1440x900 resolution...but i m getting 1280x1024......but it not working smoothly.................!plz some one help me

Open /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist in Text editor

Type
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1440x900x32</string>

you might have to copy it to the desktop first before editing and then copy it back once your done

Install your video card drivers.
Give us some specs, otherwise we can't help.
