GA-P67A-D3-B3 Firmware Ua5 / Core i5-2300 Sandy Bridge / Geekbench
Thank you very much I've got it installed, but now it boots only with the modusb-stick .. when I try booting from chameleon nothing happens .. I try boot in verbose but no output it still does nothing .. maybe because of my graphiccard? I've got a HD 5830 ? Some knows if this card is compatible? I've searched in graphiccard section and found a HD 5xxxx kext but it doesn't work ..
I also tried updating to 10.6.8 update the legacy_kernel to 10.6.8 and it doesn't work either.
Or maybe an other bootloader could help, any ideas?
Sorry for my english.![]()
Have you tried installing the Bootloader provided within the Multibeast, I believe it's called Chimera...
You can find Multibeast here -> tonymacx86 Forum • Login {requires registration}
So now it boots fine with Chimera. Thank you Arcum.
My ATI HD 5830 doesn't work correct. I got correct resolution but no QE/CI I've just added device-id to ATI5000Controller.kext Info.plist and uses GraphicsEnable=Yes.

Try install it with nawcom's ModCD or ModUSB it should work.
Don't know if you Graphiccard is supported search in the section for nvidia.
So I don't get QE/CI but now I try to add my device-id to Chimera source and compile it by myself .. I'm telling if it work.![]()
My motherboard is:
MCP61PM-HM REV:1 . 0B
PCI Express
never heard of ECS motherboards .. anyway .. it's a nvidia chip and it should work.
Try nawcoms modcd and retail disk![]()
Maybe you should add to your guide that installation on AMD can take REALLY LONG.. I know you advised to unplug all USB drives, but unfortunately I'm installing OSX on an external drive to test the whole process, and when it works out well enough I do it again with an internal drive..
I started the installation like 1 1/2 or 2 hours ago, and it barely finished to 50%, though it says "19 minutes left".. I guess most people would have assumed a crash by now... just be patient...![]()
