Thread: [GUIDE] OS X 10.6 on AMD

i figured out how to boot without the Nawcom bootcd. I followed the guide up to 'Customize'. Some of the options have already been selected. I left them selected by default, but change only a few things: selected 'Bootloader > Chameleon C5' and 'LAN support > nForce'. When i did not select nForce for LAN, i wasn't able to connect to the internet. There are 2 Chameleon bootloaders 4 and 5. Of course i had to push for 5. There's a letter in front of the 4 and 5; can't remember if its an 'R' or 'C' [example: Chameleon R4/Chameleon R5 or Chameleon C4/Chameleon C5].

Mac OS X 10.6.3 installed successfully but encountered another issue when updating to 10.6.8; i get a kp during installation. some threads suggest to run after installation 10.6.3, run update 10.6.8, then run legacy kernel 10.6.8 pkg. sadly i get a kp before the update installs successfully, so that i can install legacy kernel pkg. some help please/

I had success to install the os with a ASrock 880GMH/U3S3 motherboard, but the os can't detect my LAN ...so I can't get in the Internet....do u have some sulotion to solve it? Thx

if there's another pc or notebook in the house, i think you might have to download the audio kext (check your hardware, network adapter) download and install it. if not, i'm afraid you'll have to do a reinstall, be sure to select network option in "Customize" right before clicking to install Mack OS X onto disk drive.

I am facing an issue, I've got a mac OS Lion CD from a friend and I tried to install, booted up perfectly, but when I got into the install menu it said "Mac OS cannot be installed on this computer" (or something like that). Can anyone please tell me what's the problem here?

As per the guide, I have currently installed Snow leopard 10.6.3 retail using NAWCOM modcd, tried chameleon r1402, r1730 and rc5 747 and latest r1926 but still not able to make graphic card work.

Plz suggest if combo update is needed to make the graphic card work.
Alsotried this guide: [GUIDE] ATI Radeon HD 4350 and Mac OS X 10.6 (and 10.7), got a black screen ..........so gpu still not working.

Now trying 10.6.8 update........takes a while to download :~

After installing combo update, when I try to open legacy kernel installer, they both crash Even If I install legacy kernel and restart OSX manually, i have kernel panic with IOACPIFamily and IOPCIFamily :/ And then even bootCD can't boot it (hands on mounting NTFS partitions when the desktop will load).

trying to work out Lion on 2nd partition, think i might have better luck on it with gpu ^_^!
checked out a version by niresh that might work on AMD, Mac OS X Lion For All Computers Including AMD 10.7.3 V2 - Niresh12495, says:

Have Tested on an AMD Perfecly Working
and Don't Forgot to Select arch=i386 32 bit Package Under Chameleon Boot Commands

AMD on what configuration ?

I tested the kernel itself, it does not work, the distro does not work and his chameleon to install USB does not work !?

In short, nothing works apart on Intel !
