I have a virus on a new i-Mac. It has even corrupted the disk utilities to prevent a clean reinstall from a boot USB Lion OS X. This is one of commands right before the system sets up my trackpad and keyboard via bluetooth. Do you also have DMProxy being set up? or "krb5kdc" log grayed out in the console so you cannot see it? Or in your keychains does your public and private kerberos certificates say they are not trusted by the root so they are turned off?

If so, good luck - until now, no one would believe me that I had a virus. I have a university engineer working on it now.

Go to your terminal and type in:

ps xau | cut -f1 -d " "| sort | uniq | grep -v ^_ | tail -n +2

I should be the only user and administrator

I saw a "nobody" in the user group and although I have only used a MAC for a month now all the other user names are similar to windows built in names. I've never seen nobody before.

Nothing to worry about. User "nobody" is created by OS X to carry out some basic tasks.
