OSX 10.8.3 will only run in safe mode.
Installed using iMick's protocol using "myHack".
Did not have internet so used Multibeast to add audio ALC887 current v100302 and network Maolji Atheros.
then downloaded and ran EDP; after running tried to use EDptool.command -sudo-75x15 but it would not allow me to enter password. Tried "myhack" fix-it but does not work in safe mode. Update: was able to run EDP and enter password. Exited and rebooted and ran "myhack" fixit. 10.8.3 will still only boot in safe mode and hangs after LXEthernet: Ethernet address

Downloaded and ran Darwin Dumper. Not sure how I post the html report.

My Hack:
MoBo: Gigabyte Z77-DS3H Revision 1.1 BIOS F9 date:9/19/12
CPU: Intel i5-3570k
On board graphics HD4000

Would appreciate directions from here.

So, after much much time of searching possibilities to install OS X on my PC, I finally decided to ask for help. So...

My Hardware:
ASUS P8H61-M LX3 R2.0
Intel Core i5-3450 @ 3,1GHz
8GB RAM
NVidia Geforce GTX 650

I want to install Mac OS X Mountain Lion on my PC, but I have different Problems :
1. Some discs don't boot because my BIOS is an UEFI BIOS
2. Some discs don't want to install because I have an MBR Partition style
3. One disc didn't recognize my hard drive

The disc which didn't recognize my hard drive was the Niresh ML 10.8.2 Installation disk, but it had the perfect conditions :
It accepted that I install on an MBR disk and was ready to boot

BUT... It didn't recognize my hard drive because it is set to IDE, not to AHCI...
But I already have Windows 8 Professional x64 installed on my PC and if I would Change now, Windows 8 wouldn't be recognized anymore. So I am asking myself whether somebody of you knows what I can do to install Mac OS X Mountain Lion on my PC!

Thank you for helping me! :)

Hi I'm using Niresh's ML distro on Packard Bell TS11HR.

I installed sleep enabler during installation. When I close lid nothing happens, when I click sleep it goes to sleep and wake up immediatelly, BUT when I click sleep and close lid it will stay sleeping.

Next problem is brightness. I don't have brightness in setting and it also doesn't work using FN buttons. Fn buttons doesn't work at all.

Alt button is recognized as command.

I'd like to get sleep working properly, brightness working, and Alt replaced with Windows button.
If someone has any suggestions pls response or post some useful tutorial. :)

Hi

I've recently installed Leopard on my Samsung NC10. Works great so far.
Biggest hurdle right now is that I'm not getting any indication of remaining power in the battery status bar, so it turns off almost immediately after unplugging it.
I've tried with Voodoo smart kext and now I just have two icons and still no indication... Any ideas?

But my main question is, I really want notes from Mountain Lion on this thing, but as far as I can tell it's 64bit and my Samsung only supports 32bit. Can I port it somehow or just plainly copy it over?

My girlfriend has been mactified and she's using mine all the time and I don't like it. I don't like other people using my computers, I'm weird like that :) So I wanted to give her a "mac", but the app she uses the most is notes... Which it doesn't have :(

Of course I find an alternative just after posting here.
But I'd still like to know if I can get Mountain Lion notes on Leopard.

Justnotes might do the job

Hello to you all,

I've got some trouble with installing Mac OSx 10.6.3 on my AMD PC.

When I try to load the retail DVD at the first eye it looks like it will load the installer.
After i selected the RETAIL DVD inside the nawcom bootloader and pressed enter it starts loading.

But withing like 5 seconds it says that i have to press enter to continue and than it restarts my PC completely.
It also says something about Not an Intel Platform: Restart Fix not applied!!! (wth did i do wrong? lol)

I'll make some pictures from it and post it here.

i'll also put here my PC specs:

ASUS Sabertooth 990FX
AMD FX 8-Core (FX 8120)
12GB RAM DDR3
XFX R7850 black edition overclocked

(sorry i dont have the chipset names atm but i'll update that a.s.a.p.)

Hey,

I was able to boot ML with the Clover USB stick with flags -v npci-0x2000 rd=disk0s2. Now I need to reinstall Chameleon so that I can boot from the hard drive. I tried running the package installer and it didn't work! I get a reboot when it tired to look for a bootloader. The OS X partition is set as active in Windows Disk Management. Here are the contents my DarwinDumper Bootloaders.txt file.

/dev/disk0
1TB FDisk_partition_scheme MBR boot code detected: boot0md.

DEVICE TYPE NAME SIZE PBR(Stage1) (Bootfile)Stage 2 UEFI BootFile
disk0s1 Windows_NTFS 785 GB WindowsNTFS NTLDR
disk0s2 Windows_NTFS 214 GB Chameleon boot1h

For reference, my hard drive is 1TB, partitioned with a 200GB partition for OS X. In Disk Utility, the OS X partition is named /, and under Devices in Finder the computer is blank where it would normally say "So-and-so's Mac" THis could be due to the different SMBIOS Clover loaded with. (iMac vs. Mac Pro)

Please help and thank you!
