By TheConnacticThis is the result of months of development in this topic: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/281450-mountain-lion-kernel-testing-on-amd/.
The latest kernel, which i'm posting here as amd_kernel, was built by Andy Vandjick, but that wouldn't be possible without the amazing work by Sinetek (who made the first ssse3 emulator ever, enabling non FX-series CPUs to run OSX in 64-bit kernel mode), R:A:W:x86, Bronzovka (who made Lion on AMD possible) and the Voodoo team. Many thanks to them all!
The correct boot flags to run the kernel are amd_kernel arch=x86_64. FX-series users must also add the correct busratio. The kernel is not working properly with nVidia graphics (and some ATI ones), so their users must also either add -x (safe mode) boot flag or disable GeforceGA.plugin and GLDriver.bundle in System/Library/Extensions.
FX users may also try the 12.0 AMD kernel by sinetek, which is confirmed to be working nicely with newer AMD CPUs (Bulldozer and Piledriver chips). Bad news are that, since it's a 12.0 (10.8.0) kernel, it won't work with 10.8.2 without mods; specifically, it's necessary replacing the 10.8.2 AppleFileSystemDriver.kext, IOACPIFamily.kext and perhaps AppleACPIPlatform.kext by the 10.8.0 versions of each one.
Good luck to all and please post feedback. The sources are also included for anyone wanting to build the kernel from the sources, or help improve it - there's still a lot of work to do.

By donovan6000So for a few days we've been working on a user friendly way to easily apply a lapic fix to kernels. This is the result of our work
If you don't know what this is used for, it fixes an issue that causes booting to hang on HP laptops with Intel i processors.
Simply select the kernel you want to patch, choose if you want to create a backup, select patches to apply, and press the patch button.
Should work on all past, present, and future kernels released by Apple. Even works on the developer's preview of Mavericks
Unlike previous lapic kernels, the patches this app applies allow FaceTime, iCloud, Dictation, etc to work without any problems.
If your curious about what it does, read about it here on my blog.
UPDATE: Confirmed working on 10.8.4 by Yuan Lukito here.
UPDATE: Confirmed working on 10.8.5 by BadNumberBoy.
UPDATE: Confirmed working on all Mavericks previews up to DP5 by lightskreen here.
UPDATE: V0.7 adds support for all remaining Mavericks developer previews, GM, and official release. Special thanks to noname.
Please consider donating if your satisfied with my work. My donation page is here. Thanks

By ShaneeeThanks to Bronzovka, Sinetek and Andy for the source that this kernel was build on. I just complied it all.
Kernel is build for 10.7.4 but works on lower versions.
Graphics bugs do exist especially on 10.7.5 so don't use it on 10.7.5. Stick to 10.7.4
If you get a KP on boot use the following boot flag,
By stinga11The first and to my knowledge the only kernel for Ivy Bridge processors and Snow Leopard.
For the moment it is only for test. If it works I think to do a CD to install snow leopard. I know that already Mountain Lion went out but as I there are persons who have programs that alone work in Snow Leopard for this reason I did this kernel.
For the moment you need a hard disk that has the version 10.6.8 pre-installed and only change the kernel and say to me if it works.
All this work is based on work nawcom, qoopz and kaitek.
10.6.8 new patch.zip is the source code
sorry for my english
Update: The wait finally end, I bring out the boot cd to install snow leopard on Ivy Bridge processor. Please try it and let me know, I can not try because I do not have ivy bridge anymore.

with lapic fix for hp laptop
By JohnStandard fixes are included, plus a few extra stuff:
Built-in kernel blacklister automatically blacklists bad kexts from loading. Therefore you don't need to use a disabler to disable it manually
bigger dmesg Which translates to a larger log file so that you can troubleshoot easily
uuid patching/fix Eliminates the need of UUID kext or specifying manually
cpu cache detection
reboot fix- Eliminates the need of OpenHaltRestart and fixes shutdown/reboot issue
sse3emu -SSE3 emulator for SSE2 processors . Bear in mind that most of the applications in Snow Leopard run fine with this emulator.?
Some things added:
some support for the new 6 core i7
For people wanting to use XCode apps, I decided to add all the CHUD kexts to the kext blacklist. This means no more kp hell when installing and dealing with the development tools. If anyone thinks this is something that shouldn't be added, let me know.
Features in this specific package:
If you have SleepEnabler installed, your SleepEnabler kext will get updated. If you don't use it, don't worry about it - it won't get installed.
All of the CPUIDs in the new versions of programs from the 10.6.3 update will get patched. this means you don't need to deal with the hell regarding iTunes, etc.?
(The actual patcher program also gets installed (/usr/local/bin/patcher, you can run from anyware via Terminal) as well as the CPUID text file (/Library/CPUIDs/*) Though this is only important to people who love control and want to be able to run it themselves :-P - this is all automated in the installer regardless. Unfortunately we still havent gotten on the fly patching working, so this is a reasonable fix for it for now.)
I do make cpuid files for updates and keep them online http://nawcom.com/osx86/cpuids/ for AMD people to use regarding updates as well as a nice frontend to Maxxuss' patcher app, drag and drop a cpuid.txt file onto the app to launch it - just like Taruga's HDA Patcher.
Anyways, good luck to all. Source diffs are always available. -> http://nawcom.com/osx86/files/10.6/Kernels...-1504.3.12.diff

lapic_fix Kernel PKG Installer - for OS X Lion & Mountain Lion
Mountain Lion and Ivy Bridge Support Added!
Note: This does not work on OS X Lion 10.7.5 or OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2. Apple has not released kernel sources yet, and because of that we can't get the kernel and patch it yet.
This is a package installer for the lapic_fix patched kernel by finntriel and maxhello. This kernel enables multicore support on laptops that have to use "cpus=1" to boot OS X. The vanilla kernel will be backed up to the Backup Kernels folder on the selected volume.
The lapic_fix patched kernel is compatible with Lion and Mountain Lion
Special thanks to finntriel and maxhello for making the Lion and Mountain Lion lapic_fix patched kernels. Also thanks to @shawnanastasio for making the scripts for the installer.
Tested on an HP dv7 4087cl running Lion 10.7.3 & 10.7.4 and Mountain Lion 10.8.
So download and enjoy! Comment if it works for you!

By GuestPatched Kernel From Nawcom
You Have to Rename The File to mach_kernel
More Details http://blog.nawcom.com/
In OSKext.cpp, I ditched a goto so a kext in /Extra/Extensions.mkext or /Extra/Extensions/*.kext will not be disregarded if you are also loading kernelcache which also contains that same kext (versions don?t matter in this case) at the same time. Before it would simply disregard the kext in /E/E and goto finish ? now it continues down and does version checking between the two to see which one to use first.
Some still-current issues with loading kernelcache + /E/E at the same time though ? if you are using a parent kext in /E/E in which a kext in /S/L/E depends on and it ends up overriding the lower-version equivalent parent kext in /S/L/E, you will result in a linking error. I will look into it later, but if anyone is willing to play around with this issue, then have fun.
ext up in bootstrap.cpp is the core part of what gets the kernel to load /E/E when it is also loading kernelcache instead of ignoring it, credit goes to meklort. This simply injects readBooterExtensions() into the right spot to get it loading the mkext.
