  5. Patched Kernel From Nawcom
    You Have to Rename The File to mach_kernel
    More Details http://blog.nawcom.com/

    In OSKext.cpp, I ditched a goto so a kext in /Extra/Extensions.mkext or /Extra/Extensions/*.kext will not be disregarded if you are also loading kernelcache which also contains that same kext (versions don?t matter in this case) at the same time. Before it would simply disregard the kext in /E/E and goto finish ? now it continues down and does version checking between the two to see which one to use first.

    Some still-current issues with loading kernelcache + /E/E at the same time though ? if you are using a parent kext in /E/E in which a kext in /S/L/E depends on and it ends up overriding the lower-version equivalent parent kext in /S/L/E, you will result in a linking error. I will look into it later, but if anyone is willing to play around with this issue, then have fun.

    ext up in bootstrap.cpp is the core part of what gets the kernel to load /E/E when it is also loading kernelcache instead of ignoring it, credit goes to meklort. This simply injects readBooterExtensions() into the right spot to get it loading the mkext.

  6. From ANV:)
    The full package included, as usual.
    I've also added support for VIA (Nano) cpu's (the cpuid of those can be modified by a few rdmsr/wrmsr instructions).
    Furthermore I included the new SSE3 emulator as default (thanks for the person who supplied it, I forgot his name, credits go to him).
    It also includes the custom dyld.
    BTW: Sorry for the late entry but at work my workstation wouldn't allow rapidshare so I had to bring along my netbook (to link it to the corporate WLAN network, then it worked).
    Installed and run
    if you meet "dyld: shared cached file was build against a different libSystem.dylib, ignoring cache"

  10. All credits to Anv.
    I tried this Kernel too and this time the dyld is almost perfect.:cool:

    Anv?s description:
    I updated the sources so that dyld builds with Xcode 4.
    This fixed the issue of Finder / SystemUIServer crashing with the custom dyld.
    /System/Library/CoreServices/pbs still needs to be packed with upx though.
    Also some apps that use Auto::zone::zone (for some ObjC apps) still need packing with upx.
    The dyld became faster and more stable with the latest patches though.
    On the fly patching works fine (tested it) on any app I've tested it on.
    I've also added a new patched kernel with cpu model 15 patch (Atom / new Celeron specific, separate kernel).

  11. I took some time today to apply the old 10.6.6 diff to the new OS X 10.6.7 /Darwin 10.7.0 xnu source code, Here you go ? I will post the diff later. I will see if AnV has anything new added to this ? as of now it?s the same fixes that the previous kernel had.

  20. All credits goes to AnV, I just though I'd upload them here so they will be accessible after the rapidshare links dies of old age or cancer.

    This is the first AMD capable kernel that allows you to use 32bit software along with 64bit so it basically has the same functionality as a mac booted in 32 bit, you're still stuck with 32bit kexts but its a hell of a improvement and its getting close to be as usable on AMD systems as Leopard.
    Enjoy!

    Be careful to RTFM, in order to boot you'll have to at least add to your ?/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist Kernel Flags:
    patcher_opts=2 , also consider to add?arch=i386 -force64?

  21. New ??10.6.4 legacy kernel for AMD by qoopz/nawcom/AnV/BlackKnight/Mucha

    Changelog

    * Built-in kernel blacklister automatically blacklists bad kexts from loading. Therefore you don’t need to use a disabler to disable it manually

    * bigger dmesg Which translates to a larger log file so that you can troubleshoot easily

    * uuid patching/fix Eliminates the need of UUID kext or specifying manually

    * fsb detection

    * cpu cache detection

    * reboot fix- Eliminates the need of OpenHaltRestart and fixes shutdown/reboot issue

    * sse3emu -SSE3 emulator for SSE2 processors . Bear in mind that most of the applications in Snow Leopard run fine with this emulator.

    * For people wanting to use XCode apps, I decided to add all the CHUD kexts to the kext blacklist. This means no more kp hell when installing and dealing with the development tools. If anyone thinks this is something that shouldn’t be added, let me know.

    Added stuff:

    * Some of AnVs patches from the 10.6.2 diff

    * BlackKnight’s fsb fix

    * mucha’s lapic fix (common issues with new HP laptops, meklort plans on including a fix for this in Chameleon)

    Features in this specific package:

  23. Standard fixes are included, plus a few extra stuff:

    Some things added:

    some support for the new 6 core i7

    For people wanting to use XCode apps, I decided to add all the CHUD kexts to the kext blacklist. This means no more kp hell when installing and dealing with the development tools. If anyone thinks this is something that shouldn't be added, let me know.

    Features in this specific package:

    If you have SleepEnabler installed, your SleepEnabler kext will get updated. If you don't use it, don't worry about it - it won't get installed.

    All of the CPUIDs in the new versions of programs from the 10.6.3 update will get patched. this means you don't need to deal with the hell regarding iTunes, etc.?

    (The actual patcher program also gets installed (/usr/local/bin/patcher, you can run from anyware via Terminal) as well as the CPUID text file (/Library/CPUIDs/*) Though this is only important to people who love control and want to be able to run it themselves :-P - this is all automated in the installer regardless. Unfortunately we still havent gotten on the fly patching working, so this is a reasonable fix for it for now.)

    I do make cpuid files for updates and keep them online http://nawcom.com/osx86/cpuids/ for AMD people to use regarding updates as well as a nice frontend to Maxxuss' patcher app, drag and drop a cpuid.txt file onto the app to launch it - just like Taruga's HDA Patcher.

    Anyways, good luck to all. Source diffs are always available. -> http://nawcom.com/osx86/files/10.6/Kernels...-1504.3.12.diff
