About This File

AppleACPIBatteryManager.kext for Lion.

This works with vanilla 10.7 AppleACPIPlatform.kext and IOPCIFamily.kext.

Update: 32/64bit!

User Feedback

Terrific! First battery kext not causing kernel panic on retail Lion with vanilla ACPIFamily. First to show battery information under System Profiler. Works 32/64 bit, but battery percentage only shows 2 things (0%) when charging, or (not charging) with battery fully charged.

Kext works on vanilla 10.7.1 X86_64, but battery icon always shows "x" (no battery available) even if charging or not. Laptop is Acer Aspire 1810TZ.

Sort-of working on 10.7.1... It doesn't recognize when the AC adapter is unplugged, but if it is booted with no AC then it works perfectly and accurately.
