About This File

Couldn't find it yet, so I patched it myself. The enclosed kexts work for AMD/ATI Radeon HD 48xx cards.

All credits go to fantomas and netkas.

Enjoy!

Released

This is a new version as I messed up with some card's IDs.

Please let me know if those kexts work with HD 4890.

Thanks-

I've tried it with my ATI Radeon HD 4890, but as soon as I installed it in S/L/E, the computer crashed and I can't boot anymore on Sierra, since it'll always result on a kernel panic :/

I checked the package I uploaded. I have a 4830 card so I cannot test them with neither 4850 nor 4890.

Weird, as everything seems ok. I patch it in the same old way:

1. added 0x944c1002 to AMD48000Controller.kext's Info.plist

2. added 0x944c1002 to ATIRadeonX2000.kext's Info.plist

3. changed 0F83A2000000 with 909090909090 as shown in enclosed pic.

Steps 1 and 2 should fix resolution while 3 fix the framebuffer.

Be sure you don't get a kernel panic because your cache is messed up.

Anyways, the package contains original kexts; if you have issues you can place old kexts back in S/L/E.

PS
just realized I messed up Info.plist with some id's. I upload a new version, if you want to try it.
