As I could never enable sleep mode properly I had a thought
about a shutdown plugin for OSX. I mean in Linux I just have to write:
sudo shutdown -h now or sudo reboot in order to make the system
close down. So it should be possible to make a plugin that uses timeout
function to shut the system down after a period of time.

My problem is: Sleep function is on 'never' because I never installed a
system that was able to re-wake after it fell asleep.
SleepEnabler did not change this for me. Just like some Linux systems
do not always support sleep/rewake or suspend to disk modes like they
should.
But as OSX on common notebooks and PC systems has this function to
fall asleep works very well - just the rewake seems a problem -
I thought like this:
Can I make the system just shut down properly instead of sleep ?

I mean, I won't care if I have to boot up again, but I can't let my
Lenovo G560 run all night and day long. The temperature is always
about 50-65 degrees with OSX. More than usual, because PowerSave
functions do not work.

If anyone can give me a hint how to find a plugin for shutdown
instead of sleep, please help me. Or if there is a Program
with advanced power management as I know it from Linux.
Please help me. It is to save electric energy and helps to save
nature.
