Default Ditching Efix, GA-EP45-DS3R which way to go?

Well I know I am one of many, MANY, pissed efix V1 owners who were very upset by there crappy business choices. I am looking get my system running on another boot loader. I have a GA-EP45-DS3R mobo w/Q6600, N8800 Ultra card. Ive seem a few different ways but not sure which path is the best. Looking for people with the same board and maybe there experences and problems. Basicly, something that is relivaly easy and the best supported. I dont getting my hands dirty but yea easyer the better. What can I say, i got spoiled with the V1 Efix. A big change from the major hacking back in the day of Intel 865PERLL mobo and Northwood P4 2.4 and tiger. heh.

Check the Asere's blog for step by step guide: http://aserebln.blogspot.com/.
In this thread you'll find patched DSDT table for you MoBo.
You'll need tops 30 minutes and you'll be up and running with Chameleon.

    Good luck!

    Dasos,
look at my sig. I run 10.6.2 with Bonjour, TimeMachine etc. and have no big issues left. A minor one is my WiFi card with SL 64Bit. But I just didn't have the time to implement the fix offered by one of the nice people of this community. Follow AsereBLN's blog, use his DSDT for your board and you'll be fine.
As you see in my sig, one of my MoBo's is the same you have and the GFX I use with it is quite near. So, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask: been there, done that and have a T.
If you have troubles I can even send you my Chameleon config with all things needed and only a minor individualization to make. Your MoBo works fine with SL and for NVIDIA there is a standard com.apple.Boot.plist call. Most probably it will work with your GFX immediately.

Thanks for all the good info guys! Here is where im currently at. I got my system up and running using Empire EFI / MyHack. Everything seems to be great but sound. I stayed up until 2am but no luck. Closest I could get was with VoodooHDA but just got pops and clicks out of my digital audio. I have not tried updated the system to 10.6.2 yet but im sure that will go smooth once i get the audio figured and double check that I have the newest sleep kext. I may try updating my BIOS to F10 or F11e as I am still on F7 and then use one of the DSDT posted for my board on the link you gave me instead of the using the GUI DSDT maker I found (cant remember the name off the top of my head). Any thoughs on this? Thanks again!

I don't know much ABout Empire EFI but I am guessing it is all based on latest Chemeleon...

Sound issue is addressed here, not sure if your mobo has ALC889a.... IF you have ALC888 chime in, because I have a solution for that one.

    Start reading this:

And then move to this one for sound fix:

Great! Looking forward to diving into that this afternoon. First, I think I am going to have to update my BIOS and use DSDT that was posted and not the one I made (for one, im sure it had warnings) and then try. Yes, as far as I know Empire EFI just uses Chemeleon and PC_EFI. From what i remember their build match the lastest builds too. Worst case, I;ll just have to use my USB stick and do it all by hand instead.

    dasos,
are you using a boot stick? Or just the CD?
I have F10 as well, if you are using the stick, I'll send you my working configuration.
