    Default My little mac is down :(


    i CAN't REBOOT ANYWAY ! i tryd whith -x, -v, -f, whith iboot, On screen is alaways "YOU NEED TO RESTART YOR COMPUTER. HOLD DOWN THE POWER...BLA, BLA, BLA" PLSSSSSSSSSSSSS...WHAT I HAVE TO DO? PLSSSS, I DON'T WHANT RETURN TO WINDOWS OS !!!!!

    try -s -x -F rd=disk0s2
    That's how you boot to your installation. What you did is try to boot iBoot live cd in safe mode
    Pay attention to capitalization F is not equal to f in osx/bsd.
    What did you actually do? You wrote the symptom but not the reason.

    Hm, reinstall your OSX and don't make Experiments !

    Almost always there is, just keep close a backup copy of the working kernel and you're safe

    I always install 2 osx versions on 1 disk 1 normal and 1 is a toy/ just incase senario's that second on is on a smal partition.

    I have the same problem - I have had a stable system for several weeks. Added the realtek8xx.kext and now even re-installing with just the correct network kext it gives me the "You need to restart" message

    Can you get into the file system from the install disk ?

    I have GA-G41M-E2SL & NVidia 8400GT - Retail DVD Install
