Thread: can using an ati efi bootloader affect an nvidia setup?

have a retail 10.6.0 on an e3300, g31 es2l based system.

was using an ati x300, which wasnt fully supported, so had installed the ati 1058r2 efi empire bootloader.
received my zotac 8400gs card today, but even with graphicsenabler=yes, it wont go over 1024x768.

what im asking really is could the ati bootloader prevent the system from recognising the card fully?

use chameleon rc5r709 it now has efi stings dvi/vga and pcirootuid=1 built into bootloader. make shure to use -x on first boot to change screen res without screen freeze then reboot all is good
