Snow Leopard 64 with GeForce 8400 GS

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L

I have a almost completely working Hackintosh. Sound, LAN (with promiscuous mode), USB, bluetooth, and video all *seem* to work.

Currently I have a DSDT that I obtained from a forum post by someone with a similar system and it makes video and LAN just work. Mostly...

Unfortunately, I think the DSDT is not complete/correct for my video card because while it works (QE and all) fine color management type stuff does not.

For example: if I go into the Apple "Display Calibration" click through to the third or so page (the one with the apple logo on a stripped background and the slider) the slider has ZERO effect. Similarly when changing color profiles I see it momentarily flicker to the new profile (I think) but then it goes right back to what it was before.

I need help getting my video card to detect and work properly while still, obviously, maintaining working LAN, Sound, etc.

I was under the impression that Chameleon's Graphics Enabler should be able to just make this work without needing the DSDT.

With chameleon 2 rc4, you don't need the PlatformUUID.kext anymore. And why not using the efi strings for your video?

I've tried and I'm really just not sure what I'm doing. I also lose network support when I remove the DSDT.

I'll gladly pay if you can get this up and running.

Andrei (user_01) patiently helped me get my whole Hackintosh up and running properly. I had it cobbled together and sorta working but Andrei helped my build a correct DSDT, found me the correct KEXT for sound support, LAN, and walked me through a half dozen different solutions for my video problem.

In the end we never could make the 8400GS work with color profiles but we were able to get an NVidia 9500 GT working.

After all his help I have a nicely working Hackintosh where everything is working perfectly.

His help was well worth the money. I am fully satisfied with his help.
