Default GA-X58A-UD7 and W3520 install problem

I would appreciate any help anyone could give me about why I currently cannot install Snow Leopard. I have downgraded my BIOS to F4, moved my graphics card to the first slot and used the USB image from kexts.com but I keep getting stuck at AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement: initialization complete.

    Default Let's make it simple!

Forget about usb stick (for now, you can make your own after, if you'd like), restored partition (if you really have a disc; or not, if you prefer), making dsdt in linux, trying to make os think your cpu is i7, when is not really necessary (i wish i had that cpu, ; is used in real mac pros- quad core versions), no one having time to help you...etc.

    Okay,

    1. Get this imgs and burn them to 2 cd/dvd
    2. Boot your pc, insert the disc, wait a few seconds, swap it with your snow disc (or boot the partition you restore the snow to), boot in verbose mode -v
    3. Install (do the rest like in real macs partition hd etc), be patient (but don't wait forever if you eventually see it stack at one time in the process)
    4. Reboot (don't worry about that exclamation mark), all good
    5. After it reboots, enter in boot menu (F10, F12, or whatever is the key for your mobo)
    6. Shut down the pc (you doing this so the dvd drive lets you eject the snow disc), if you booted from hd then the cd-boot disc should already be in the drive and you can skip this (step 6)
    7. Power on and enter boot menu again, swap the discs, if booted from hd skip this to (step 7)
    8. Boot the newly installed snow partition with the help of the cd-boot - no video, audio support
    9. Now let's install the booter, and "drivers" (kexts-kernel extensions)
    10. In this order
    - insert the data dvd - or where you saved the data files (other media storage support) -
    - install the booter from the pack (don't restart!!!)
    - copy the Extra folder like it is to the root / (snow partition, finder), replace with the one there that is empty
    - run the dsdt patcher (choose only, destination, apply to, darwin), you'll get a file dsdt, aml on root /, copy it to Extra, and remove that one
    11. Reboot, update to 10.6.3 and rest
    12. Go to root / system>library>extensions (S/L/E) and delete AppleHDA.kext - before you do, you can copy it to a safe place, to have a back up, and then delete it
    13. Install binary patched AppleHDA.kext (1.8.4fc3) with Kext Utility (drag the kext over the KU icon)
    14. Run KU again, this time just double-click on it
    15. Reboot, enjoy
(16). If having problem with video (you shouldn't), audio, ethernet card, come back and tell

    Default

    Still not working

The ISO image has been burnt to disc and booted from and during the initial boot process it reports several errors. Letting the boot process go further, I can start the Snow Leopard installation as usual but then everything stops just after initializing firewire. On rebooting I then find that the BIOS settings have been corrupted and therefore I have to restore my BIOS settings from previously saved settings.

I have read that some OSX installers/bootloaders (i.e. Empire EFI) will not function correctly with more than 4GB of RAM. Could this be my problem ?

I don't think that might be your problem...(it's because the booter is set to boot in 32-bit mode, and that's not supporting more then 4gb) - the booter in my img also has the flag for 32-bit mode - in com.apple.Boot.plist file) - you could try removing some ram in the installation process and adding it back after, but i don't think this is the problem...but you never know...

The reset bug is happening because the img has no dsdt file or the Elliot kext included to fix that. That's fixed when running a dsdt file with the fix, when you generate one for yourself or using one generated on some similar/same mobo. I was hoping that was to happen one time after first installation reboot. By the way did you set AHCI mode in bios ? Did you tried to boot with just one core enabled in bios and enable all after the process ?
