Thread: Ati Radeon Xpress 1100 Kext

Hello, Amigos

First of all I apologize for my english and possible mistakes.

And now I go on. Like many other users of Snow leopard in PC's I got a problem finding the proper kext for making my Ati radeon Xpress 1100 work under Snow Leopard.

Problem: resolution in 1024 x 768 and no graphics acceleration.

I have tried two options wich I have found through internet before posting here:

- EVOenabler.kext with no result at all
- Callisto.kext in various forms with aparently no result.

I used Kext Utility in order to "install" the kext.

My laptop: Asus X50Rseries

Cpu T2080 (1.73 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo)
Ram 2 Gb
Hdd 120 Gb
Lan AttansicL2Ethernet
Sound AzaliaAudio.pkg

Software I used:

Empire Efi 1.085
Snow Leopard 10.6.3 Retail
(wireless working by the way )

Ok, Part 2

I manage to make nearly everything, sound, microfone, dvd, wireless, lan, energy management... I didn't try to enable the webcam or the sleep mode...

But after so much reseach, i have look in every place i know about the Kext theme, and looks like the video card uses a system of share memory with the ram (I am not so sure about How it works) wich make really complicated to make it work under MacOS...

Will be wonderfull for my if someone knows a way just to increase the resolution (actually 1024 X 768) in the ati x200 chip or for de x1000 series.
