Thread: Lenovo Y530 - camera problem - no image (black), camera works only via Flash Player

Hello.

I have a little problem. My camera doesn't work as it should.
It's recognized by system, I can see image when I'm on testwebcam.com, but Skype, iCHat, Poto Booth - everything is black. I've heard from one Y530 user that his camera worked OOTB with skype ...

I've tried to change it to iSight via AnyiSightCam.kext - no result (camera is recognized as iSight, but still BLACK screen).
I tried macam 0.9.2 to (when iSight enabled and when not) - macam doesn't see my camera at all :/

On windows (XP, Vista x64, Win 7 x64/x86) - everything works well ... camera is OK.

Someone know what is going on?

Can you confirm that your Graphics Card is working properly? Full QE/CI? Run this app ant post the picture of output here:

You could go to File menu and click Check compatibility to see what should work and what not.

Graphic Card work gr8 - QE/CI/OpenGL - Front Row, Chess, transparent bar and even acceleration in Photoshop ...
On testmycam.com i have a picture, but black screen in ichat, skype etc.

According to osx86project wiki, on Lenovo B570 cam also doesn't work, but works with CamTwist:

Maybe you can try with that?

I installed it and first time I saw picture ... after restarting the app - picture is black.
The funniest thing is that one person from osx86.org.pl told, that his Y530 camera worked OOTB with Skype ...
Well ... it's late now so i'll try to play with this tommorow ...
But for me it's kind of wierd that camera works with testmycam, and with other apps - no :/
