    Interesting. I never noticed that before. I'm not using that kext anymore but I have the same or similar issue with the kext I am using. The key to the left of the "1" key gives the § symbol in lowercase and the ± symbol in uppercase. I don't use the tilde much myself, but as a lawyer, I use the section symbol (§) all the time. I recommend checking out some other keyboard kexts and manually insert them into the plugins folder within my kext. I think I will keep mine just as it is. Also, I think you can map a different symbol within your installation using keyboard preferences (but I could not find a tilde in my own setup.)

    Hi, I see your post of ALPS trackpad, it works well on my laptop, but some issue exists too. I don't know whether you have time to fix it. I mean the keyboard.kext, the USB keyboard works well except the laptop keyboard, when hit SHIFT+~, it responds by "+_",not "~".
