Question Hackintosh in combination with nForce 650i chipset possible?

    Hello people,

Since I bought a MacBook Pro I barely use my PC anymore.
I noticed Hackintosh and got very curious about 'transforming' my PC into a Mac.

Although I'm inexperienced in all this technical Hackintosh stuff, I noticed on the web that it seems the nForce chipsets are not as well supported by OS X.
Will this indeed be impossible or is there any chance to succeed?

These are the specs of my PC:

Thanks for the help! (Even if the advise will be: 'save yourself the trouble')

My old Acer PC had nForce 750a Chipset, and it worked fairly well. USB and audio are your wildcards...

You can run System Info to get a full run-down on your hardware.

    Good luck!

    Thanks for your answer.

I ran the System Info and got some result. Some give a bad result, but I'm not sure if those are crucial parts?
There seems to be something with the RAM though... Don't think that is a good sign xD

    Here are the results:

If that indeed is the case (your memory being a problem), then you might have to limit the amount of RAM OS X uses to boot.

Even so, I doubt that'll be a problem. You won't know til you try, right?

Ok, so the memory limit would only have effect during the bootup?

Can you give me any advise which software, bootloader, etc you used with that nForce chipset? I can't seem to get the installation going..

No, theoretically, the "memory limit" would be system-wide, but that's only if your memory modules are actually incompatible.

What's preventing you from starting the installation? Can you boot with -v and post where it hangs/reboots here?

All I used was Chameleon, although nowadays everyone's jumping ship to Clover, it seems...

I used iBoot, Nawcon Mod and EmpireEFI in combination with Snow Leopard on CD. I have a newer version of OS X on my Macbook though, so maybe i better use that. I rode something about restoring a OS X installation from a working Mac via USB Flash Drive.

I didn't know about the existence of Clover, will look into that! Thanks
