Thread: i5 build

Im off to do a i5 build, got a friend that works on shop who sells the stuff and we are going to build the comp, them im gone try to install Chameleon/SL at home tonight

what are the differences between i5 and i7? Is one preferable to the other?

The comp is done! .....off to build the usb stick.

CPU and Motherboard is in the pict.

Tryed to just do a basic Chameleon install with Extension folder .... and stuff .... didnt work.

Off to try Boot 132 image .... Read on and it wont work

Need to try another kernel, but i want to boot from a stick.... hmmm???

SL looks like a problem, going to try iATKOS V7 with 10.5.7 tomorrow morning, time to sleep now.

iAtkos v7 (10.5.7) is working! too bad u have to write -v busratio=20 in promt in chameleon to make it boot, if u dont do that it will just restart again.

Graphics is default (1024x768) will have to get a driver....
Sound is working
Network is working

So did u get your i5 build running and tell us how u did it ?

I have an Intel Core i7 860 and GA-P55-UD3.
If there is any way to get osx working, please let me know.
