I just am wondering if this is going to work at all. =/

I have bought the EFIX and after trial and error for hours, I started looking at their site. After more hours of looking for an FAQ or some support forums, I turned to Google, which lead me here.

Now, it seems, I could have saved myself the $240 for this damn EFIX thing and went this route. =/ But, I decided to test out this route while I wait for EFIX support to get back to me about my issues. But, as usual with anything I try to do, I ran into issues.

I read the first post on this thread and that gave me hope. =) Though, it never once says what Chameleon is at all, so I had to search Google for that. http://efixusers.com/showthread.php?t=478

I followed the link to AsereBLN’s blog and started looking there. Everything was straight forward but I ran into some issues on Step 4 - Preparing a DSDT. The issue I was having was where it says to fix the errors by following a link to another post. Well, I followed those instructions and got 16 new errors. =/ Which leads me to the topic post.

Is the X58A-UD3R that far different from the EX58-UD3R either in hardware or in firmware that both the EFIX and the Chameleon don't work? I know I wasn't anywhere close to getting Chameleon working as I couldn't get past the DSDT file creation. I'm hoping there is an easy fix that I'm just missing. Thanks for reading my long, drawn out post. =)
