the apple IDE driver is buged until 10.6.3 the GeForce FX5500 will not work in osx 10.6 there is no driver for it
did you consider 10.5.8 ? this should work fine.

Yes we try to install 10.5.7 iAtkos v.7, but after installation it doesn't boot:
In single-user-mode this screen appears

I refused the problem, to install can, he then however the first restart, waiting for to boat DEVICEs, which is probably situated to my Festplattenconfig.
Primary master is a S-ATA Samsung disk, on that is Win7, which there also in such a way is to remain.
Then have I still another small IDE on ThirdMster and 2 of SuperDrive on Fourthmaster and Slave.
I can select with the installation routine easy the small IDE disk completely, he write there also finely everything, but with the first Reboot, the small cog without end turns.
I clamped and completely from the Bios took S-ATA already once, then I cannot start the Install DVD any longer, it then always come a Kernel Panic. (tanslation german english by AppleDashboardTranslator ;-) )
