    Try this > Atheros AR9285 fix - Downloads - Kexts.com

    Or this > IO80211Family.kext - Downloads - Kexts.com

Install using Kext Helper, but i don`t have sure if it will work on Leopard (10.5.X)...

BTW, why you don`t install Snow Leopard or even Lion??? You have a unsupported Processor/Machine???

    What`s your hardware????

I think that you will able to made a Retail Install without issues.... Don`t use distro`s...

Man... You can install even Lion on this machine!!!! You have a 64bit Atom processor Intel® Atom

To Install Snow Leopard, just use a Retail Snow Leopard DVD and use Nawcom ModCD to start the installation process...

For Lion, follow this guide > http://www.kexts.com/guides-tutorial...installer.html
