Thread: Fujitsu M9400 - Marvel 88E8055 with OS X 10.5.5

I have Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo M9400 laptop and I have tried to install hackintosh for fun. I have tried iDeneb 10.5.5 and Hazard 10.6.6 and they both have some issues.

With 10.5.5 I can get the graphics working great (Intel GMA X3100), I guess I am using native driver as selecting the custom driver during the installation menu hangs the machine while leaving it out makes it work with Quartz Extreme just fine. Problem with 10.5.5 is the Marvell card, I tried one method which required editin Yukon2.kext but that did not work, if I remember correctly I got instructions from this forum.

With 10.6.6 there is a kext especially for this LAN card and with it it works fine. However, in 10.6.6 I cannot get graphics to work, tried different kexts but no go.

As graphics are pretty important and probably hard to "hack" I think it's better to stay in 10.5.5... but how to make LAN card to work? Any ideas?

With both distros the problem is sound (ALC262) which is of course another story...

To get this Video Controller working on OS X 10.6, just made a retail install and use GraphicsEnabler=Yes...
