Default Mac OS X 10.6.7 update has been released

Apple has just released a new update for Mac OS X Snow Leopard. 10.6.7 is merely a bundle of hotfixes, and consists of bugfixes, aswell as a new version of Safari and RAW image support for more compact cameras.

But we are more interested what 10.6.7 brings for us, Hackintosh users. Well, nothing, as a surprise. There's no Sandy Bridge support, aswell as support for the latest ATI 6xxx series of graphic cards.

If you want to upgrade to 10.6.7, please read the following notes to make sure everything will work after upgrading.

Graphics If you are using a Nvidia 4xx series GPU, you'll need to re-run TonyMac's Graphic card installer.
Audio When you update, your AppleHDA kext will be replaced by the one present in the update. You can fix this by simply reinstalling the audio kexts, or by using an alternative, like VoodooHDA.
USB With this update, the IOUSBFamily.kext will be replaced by a newer one, present in the update. This can be fixed by reinstalling the kext. Users with a (proper) DSDT should not worry about this.
SleepEnabler It is possible that the current SleepEnabler won't work with 10.6.7. We recommend to delete the SleepEnabler kext for now and wait for the 10.6.7 version.
CPU When you don't use the original Vanilla Kernel, beware of possible malfunctions. This is mostly a warning for AMD people, as the current Legacy Kernel does not work on 10.6.7! People who are running Intel Atoms and older Intel processors should wait for an updated kernel, as the Darwin kernel has been changed a bit.

So, in the end, most people should not experience too much trouble, so happy Hackintoshing!

    woohoo, post number 400!

Just a note that you do not need to delete your sleepenabler. Instead modify your com.apple.boot.plist with the kernel flag

If you want update 10.6.7 for graphic integrated Intel GMA 950, must be put again old AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext to get full various resolution. Don't use made on update 10.6.7.

Hey Richiem - How are you - hope that you are well - miss your helpful posts...

    Take care/Tony - Singapore.

If you get the opportunity and have time to play - try the new IBOOT ex OS_NINJA that boots via EFI - much faster than Chameleon.

    Default No Wifi

Upgrading to 10.6.7 knocked out my broadcom wifi. Haven't seen anyone else reporting this problem. I'm running iATKOS on a Gateway M6827, Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 with 3 gigs of ram. 10.6.6 ran flawlessly.

Removing Broadcom Fix before installing 10.6.7 and reinstalling before restart didn't work. Removing the second time and then rebooting without the Broadcom Fix didn't work either. Any suggestions?
