Thread: Dell Mini 10V w 10.6.3

Hello , have been searching for a while now wondering if anyone can help.
Have installed 10.6.3 successfully (to an extent) onto the dell mini. Boots up properly when using the Empire EFI boot disc. However, when installing Chamelion to HDD it will not boot, just boots into endless reboot cycle.
Have tried the most recent release and tried many different startup options
-f , -F , -x , -v , cpus=1 all with the same result.
Cannot get a screenshot of the last thing on the list cause it reboots too quick. Any ideas?

Please post all specs of the note (processor, ram, etc...)...

Its the:
N270 CPU - 1.6ghz
160GB HDD
1GB Ram
Integrated GPU (GMA) 950
Wireless,Half Mini-card,DW1397,4312BG

Im assuming its compatible due to it working from the EFI bootloader, but I could be wrong haha.

It's for AMD but you can follow...

But if you have any issue use this thread to made questions...

Now im getting the message
"ACPI table not found: DSDT.aml
No DSDT found, using 0 as uid value.
Using PCI-root-UID value: 0
No SMBIOS replacement found" and hanging.
I also have a feeling that I have the 945GM not 950GM

You already have installed???

If you have, before you install Chameleon, update to 10.6.8, before you reboot, install this Legacy Kernel > http://www.kexts.com/view/1413-nawco...or_10.6.r.html

Reboot and install this Chameleon > http://www.kexts.com/view/1429-chame...rc5-r1096.html

And before you reboot, install this Extra folder for MacBook2,1 > Installer Extra Folder - Downloads - Kexts.com


This error is because of the bootloader version...

How long did it take you to learn all of this? I dont consider myself computer illiterate but this has my mind fried!
I did however manage to finally get Wifi working! haha

I think that your wifi works without issues...

I had to replace the I080211.kext before it would recognise the card.

PCI configuration begin hangs now
Imma frisbee this out the window
