Hi, I'm new to Hackintoshs. I Have an old G3 Ruby Imac for a number of years now, so I know my way around a mac. But because of the the high cost I've been using PCs for quite awhile now. When I discover the hackintosh community it was a ray of hope, maybe I could get a little closer to a real Mac.
Anyway my wife have a Sony Vaio (VGN-CS215j)(core 2 duo T6500, 2.10 GHz) laptop so I install OX 10.6 Retail Copy, using Nawcom's MOD CD. The install went smooth, sound works, internet works, no wifi or sleep mode and the graphics is (1024x768). The track pad works great ;tapping and two finger scrolling.
I update to OX 10.6.8 with Legacy 10.8 Kernel and again no problems. I surprise it work because the bios is lock and I could not change the SATA mode to AHCI or anything in the bios, but it works so far.
So BIG UPS to OSx86.net and Nawcom for your generosity and kindness and for educating people like, and I hope this post help or encourage someone else to try a hackintosh.
