Question Netflix online streaming issue with Lion

I got Lion running on my Lenovo Y550P laptop (described in following signature).

Everything seems working, but the Netflix online streaming is NOT working smoothly, and very chopping.

I am not sure if it is because of the drivers of the Graphics card OR the Microsoft Silverlight which is used on Netflix web. When streaming, it consumes more than 100% CPU... I gave Netflix a call and they said I should call Apple to find a way to manage the CPU resources to 30%...

Anyone has this experience or knows how to really manage the CPU in Lion?

    Thanks,

    Hardware specification (Lenovo Y550P)
    - 1.6GHz Intel Core i7-720QM Processor (Working)
    - Chipset Intel PM55 Revision 11 (Working)
    - 4GB (2x2GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM RAM (Working)
    - 500GB SATA 5400RPM Hard Drive (Working)
    - Sony DVDRW Optical DVD RW (Seems working, never did burning)
    - Graphics Nvidia GT240M 1GB (Working)
    - Ethernet Broadcom NetLink BCM57780 Gigabit (Working)
    - Wireless (No driver, added uSB adapterAirlink AWLL6075, working)
    - Audio Realtek ALC272 (Working)
    - Web Cam (Working)
    - Using Apple bluetooth keyboard and Track pad

OS: Mac Lion up-to-date (Facetime not working, Netflix chopping)

    Maybe it's a video issue...

What kind of Video activation you are using??? GraphicsEnabler + CUDA???

The video card seems to be recognized by itself after installation, then I installed "Enabler_for_Nvidia_and_multiple_ATI_cards.pkg ". I cannot tell the difference...

GraphicsEnabler has the string value "y"

is CUDA for GPU? How to check it? It might be the problem, since if all graphic calculation is put on CPU instead of GPU, it might occupy too much CPU.

    Thanks.

First, remove the "Enabler_for_Nvidia_and_multiple_ATI_cards.pkg " kexts and try only with GraphicsEnabler...

Maybe this is happening because you are using two activation methods at same time...

Take a look at this thread, open the package, check what kexts he haves for installation, search for him on your /Extensions folder, delete the kexts, reboot and boot the system with -f -v flag`s > http://www.kexts.com/guides-tutorial...-pacifist.html

Thank you. I used the software you mentioned, and found that it is
    ATY_Init.kext
    in the package.

I will backup my current system and try deleting and reboot tomorrow. Have a good one.

I deleted the Kext installed by "Enabler_for_Nvidia_and_multiple_ATI_cards.pkg ", rebooted the system.

Now the online streaming worked well for 10 minutes or so, then the picture went slow and discontinuous... I heard a large noise coming from the fan. Used "top" command in the Terminal and found that the CPU usage for the "PluginProcess" (which appears when doing the streaming) is peaking 240%....

    Any more thought? Thanks.
