    Okay, that seems right...

Use Chameleon Wizard and reinstall the boot loader (Chameleon), choose the THIRD option, and select the Target Partition the OSX's one.

Make sure you have the org.chameleon.Boot.plist in Extra folder. Also make sure you have a Timeout set up:

    <key>Timeout</key>
    <string>5</string>

    BEFORE DOING ALL THING ABOVE!

Remove Chameleon 2 RC5 pref pane (like i've told you) (if you didn't already). Reboot one time.

    Report.

ok. i dit it, and again nothing. lets try to make this more clear, since we are spinning in circles.
org.Chamelon.Boot.plist exist, and its in Extra folder. It seem that particular file is not red in booting proces, since changes in it dont make any difference.
my question is, if its not red, then what is? obviously Chameleon is booting, and reading something, but I dont know what?

second question, if I delete EFI partition, whats the risk that hackintosh wont boot again? that seems prety risky?

Man, ... We're not spinning in circles, but to make it MORE clear:

    1. It doesn't load anything, if the file is not present or not recognized, it boots anyway. It doesn't need the smbios.plist or org.chameleon.Boot.plist file to boot. It just "reverts" to default parameters and that's it. That are additional means to input additional info to it.

    2. The EFI partition it doesn't mean anything to a Hackintosh. That 200 MB partition is just for real Macs, and it contains additional files specific to them. The hackintosh guys then thought why not use it for our purpose, which is to have a clean and vanilla (untouched) system as possible. So, instead of installing the boot loader directly on the main OSX partition or other place (partition), they reformat that EFI partition and install it there, plus the Extra folder, or other stuff that you need and want to keep it there, or load from there (if that's supported (possible)). But this is an "optional" way! You can still do it the good "old" fashion way: installing the boot loader and Extra folder on the main partition. (By the way, the EFI partition is hidden, so before you can make changes to it you need to mount it first). So, there you have it! Deleting it will not make any difference. You can reformat it for things to make a difference, but only if you installed the boot loader there in the first place.
    deventer and noname like this.
