Default Hackintosh/SL Garageband 'cannot be installed'

Hi .. I'm a Macbook Pro owner and user it for music, I bought Garageband a few months ago.
I always fancied a desktop Mac,and i have got Snow Leopard (retail) as normal on my Macbook Pro AND now, the desktop Hackintosh a desktop PC. It seems to run ok, i am still testing it at present before i commit to it as the default OS on my desktop. I have 3 legal versions of Mac OS X, Leopard (& the iLife CDs that came with my Macbook Pro) Snow Leopard retail DVD i bought, and Mac LION 10.7 i bought,

I have my shiny new Garageband on my Macbook Pro, bought from the App store, and wanted a desktop computer to run Garageband also, so off the iLife '09 DVDs, as i normally do, i started to install iLife 09, and it said *'this software can not be installed on this computer'* - has anyone any ideas why Garageband from my original iLife CD refuses to install please ?

i'm struggling to get the onboard ALC 662 working, it worked on first boot, i installed the kexts alright, but no audio is produced, although the hartdware is found and 'seems' to operate. no problem though.

but now for sound i am using one of those cheap Ebay USB soundcards .. (as most of them are Mac compatible) and sound works perfectly.. , so thats prob not stopping me installing Garageband,
    - i am puzzled ..
    - anyone please ?

    Mark

Open the iLife.dmg file. When open new window right click and select show pakage contents. Select the pakage wich you install and select install default. After update of the Mac Appstore.

HI 1073 .. Thanks for the advice mate, There is no iLife_09.dmg on th Leopard (extras) disc, but spurred on by your advice, i tried again, but didn't use the I-Life 09 installer, instead figured to unhide files and have a rummage around.
i saw a Hidden directory with all the seperate iLife mkpkg files ..

    Thanks !

I did not need Pacifist. in the hidden files / directories on the Leopard I-Life_09 dick,
the mkpkg files for iMovie, iPhoto, Garageband etc were easily and immediately visible
already. There was no need for any other software
    Thanks, Marc
