  1. Hello guys, i'm new on this forum and i'm Italian, so forgive me for grammatic errors :D. I'm not so expert in hackintosh but i'm good with computers, so i want to put hackintosh on my PC. My hardware is: AMD FX 8350 GIGABYTE 970A-UD3 ASUS GEFORCE GTX760 DIRECTCU II 8GB RAM, 1TB HD.. Is it possible, in your opinion, to make hackintosh?
  2. Hello, I want to make a hackintosh build on my hp elite 8200 SFF with I5 2500. But I make an image from U{censored} I think? but it stuks at the apple logo screen. and I can't find not so much about the 8200 SFF only 8000. so can anyone help me how to make a mackintosh build? thanks!

  4. Dear friends, after a lot of troubles, I did it. I managed to install fully functional Sierra on this notebook. Will upload all required files very soon, as soon as I get some free time. It is clover on UEFI kind of installation. First of all I had to flash BIOS with moded version. I did this at least 10 times without any problem, so for me BIOS flashing is not risky at all. Only thing to do in BIOS is to enable UEFI booting. OFC If you do some damage to your notebook it is your fault only. https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-BIOS-MOD-FOR-DELL-N7110-UNLOCKED-UEFI-BOOT Still working on everything to work and once i am done, in next few days, I will post step by step guide. So far I only have MIC not working and I have to disable nVidia in DSDT and SSDT ( it will take some time for sure ) For a start I wil insert drivers folder which you have to put in Kext folder in EFI partition. For bluetooth to work after sleep and cold boot you can do this from http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2925-bluetooth-firmware-uploader/ For Clover, add this to kext patches instead: Name: IOBluetoothHostControllerUSBTransport Find: 0F850701 Replace: 0F840701 Comment: Fix Bluetooth 30 seconds delay patch With credits to TimeWalker for the patch idea. and bluetoothfirmwareuploader has to be installed in S/L/E followed by sudo touch System/Library/Extensions. Regarding Ethernet, there is pkg driver which works excellent on 10.2.2, but only with 10 Mbit full duplex - you must set this parameters manually from advanced settings in network prefpane. 5. [GUIDE] GA-Z97-D3H - GTX650 - MacOS Sierra 10.12 Intro: This is a guide written specifically for the GAZ97D3H on OSX Sierra. It should be noted that this guide will also work for El Cap. This board and build is flawless thanks to the hard work of myself and many forum members on OSX86.net. Thank you. Hardware: GA-Z97-D3H (rev 1.1, latest BIOS) Intel Core i7 4790k (O.C. to 4.6Ghz) EVGA GTX650 1GB 16GB HyperX 1833mhz 120GB PNY Optima SSD Corsair H110i GTX 1TB WD HDD, 320GB HDD MacOS Sierra 10.12 Additional Hardware: This build does not use onboard audio. It also uses a USB wifi dongle. Enabling ALC1150 audio on this board is possible but i HIGHLY recommend just buying the USB audio dongle below. SO much easier. Asus N13 USB Wifi Dongle (been using this since 10.6) Syba Virtual 7 SD-CM-UAUD71 7.1 Audio USB dongle (i have had 3 of these and work OOB) Working: App Store CPU Scaling (speedstep) Graphics Ethernet Wifi Everything Installation: Download Sierra from App store Create a USB (theres plenty of guides around the web that work easily) IMPORTANT: Don't forget to copy FakeSMC.kext to /EFI/Clover/Kexts/10.12 before installing (if '10.12' folder not there, make a new one) Before Installing: Enable the following BIOS features and SAVE the profile in case ever lost.. Disable VT-d Set XHCI to Auto mode Disable IGFX Enable XHCI and EHCI handoff Set SATA Configuration to AHCI Post Install: Install Ethernet kext Download: AppleIntelE1000e.kext.zip Place in ~System/Library/Extension Run Kextutility.app to repair permissions/cache . (not completely required but recommended) Reboot <---- Install Wifi Kext and Preference Pane for USB Dongle This kext is hard to find anymore. I don't use the drivers provided by ASUS on their website. I use another kext because Asus's was giving me proper shutdown problems. (more info: http://www.osx86.net/forums/topic/22716-mini-guide-asus-usb-n13-wifi-hackintosh-dongle/) Download RT2870 kext: RT2870USBWirelessDriver.kext.zip Download DWA140 Pref Pane: DWA-140WirelessUtility.prefPane.zip (this allows us to use the wifi kext through preferences) Install RT2870.kext at ~System/Library/Extensions Install DWA140 Pre Pane at ~System/Library/Preference Panes Repair permissions/caches with kextutility.app REBOOT <--- Install Clover Bootloader to Installation Drive Download Clover Bootloader at sourcefourge.net Run through installer with these settings: (see attached images) DONT REBOOT YET Download my config file: config.plist Install config.plist at EFI/Clover Install FAKESMC.kext at EFI/Clover/Kexts/10.12 (again, make a 10.12 folder if it's missing) Reboot CHECKUP Check to see if TRIM support is enabled in System Information (it should be, if not, see below)Check 'About This Mac' to make sure everything is recognized If not enabled, see guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298507-enable-trim-on-non-apple-ssd/ Download DPCI Manager application (google) and run it. Under Status>model interface, you should see two items (one for ethernet, one for RT2870 ASUS USB) If the ethernet device is listed as 'en 0' then App store will work If the wifi is 'en 0' then app store will not work Verify App Store is working if not, navigate to MAC SSD/Library/Preferences/System Configuration Delete network interfaces.plist Reboot and App Store should work, also DPCI manager would show 'En 0' for ethernet. Generate SSDT SSDTs are required to enable CPU scaling - More info: http://www.osx86.net/forums/topic/24129-faq-4790k-haswell-how-to-install-on-a-hackintosh/ Place SSDT.aml at EFI/Clover/ACPI/Patched Optional: Install Nvidia Web Drivers Download nvidia web drivers from Nvidia's site (not gpu specific) Make sure nvda_drv=1 kernel flag is selected in config.plist (use clover configurator app) - this allows the web drivers to load - if you used my config, it is already enabled Notes: *my config file attached has two strings under Kernel and Kext Patches > KextsToPatch.... one is trim enabler and the other im not totally sure what it is but keep it *If wanting to enable onboard alc1150 audio see my guide here for El Cap: http://www.osx86.net/forums/topic/23733-success-ga-z97-d3h-gtx650-el-capitan-1011-clover/ Issues: Really no issues are present with this build which is astonishing and the result of many OS X generations of fiddling around. That is not to say that the occasional KP won't happen. But overall, this is as close to stable as a hackintosh can get. I'm amazed. FAQ: DO I NEED TO INSTALL NVIDIA WEB DRIVERS? Answer is no, but they can fix long boot times (experienced this before and it fixed it) and if "About This Mac" is reading 'GTX 650 1023 MB' it will also fix that (sometimes) DO I NEED SSDT? YES. It allows the CPU to be efficient HOW TO OVERCLOCK? Overclocking must be done via the UEFI bios menu. CPU Test and Prime 95 and Intel Power Gadget are good apps to use HOW TO MONITOR TEMPS and STUFF? Monitor temps with the app HWMonitor. Download the app and install the sensors at System/Library/Extensions HOW TO ENABLE iMESSAGE? I'm an android guy so i dont use iMessage, but if for some reason it isn't working after using this guide to enable App Store, then do some research. Its quite a complex subject but can be done! DO BIOS VERSIONS MATTER? Bios should be latest revision - but i have used 3 versions with this board and all work well. Performance: Geekbench 64bit: 19589 score APPRECIATION: Thanks to all who has helped in the past. OSX86.net , forums members DMOS and Kyndder, as well as many others in the community. Thank you. I will update this thread. Hit me up for questions. I get push notifications to my phone.
  6. Hi all, I've recently setup an hackintosh on my assembled PC. Now I want to try to setup hackintosh on my notebook HP G62. I found a tutorial here (italian): http://giofrida.altervista.org/guide/hackintosh/g62/it/ My HP G62 has the dedicated gpu broken (ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 5000 SERIES) and it has some heating problems after I tried to repare GPU with some methods illustrated on youtube. So my gpu is broken, however there isn't compatibility for that card, so I will use the integrated gpu of my i5. I also read that there isn't compatibility for broadcom 4313 b/g/n wifi card, so I searched online but nothing found about that kext. Has someone a solution to the problem of wifi? Maybe something like changing id by fakeid (I say that because on this site http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2120-inventory-of-supported-and-unsupported-wireless-cards/ there are some others models very near to mine which have working kext). Thanks for the help of anyone.

  11. Hey all - first time post here. I built a hackintosh with the following specs below. I'm having a lot of trouble getting to the actually usb-installer I made with clover - more below. System Build: MOTHERBOARD: ASRock H170M LGA 1151 USB 3.0 Mini ITX CPU: Intel Core i5-6600 6M Skylake Quad-Core 3.3 GHz LGA 1151 RAM: Crucial 8GB 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2133 GPU: VGA GeForce GTX 750 2GB GDDR5 PCIe HDD: SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 250GB SATA3 SSD PSU: CORSAIR CS-M Series CS550M 550W 24-pin PSU CASE: $40 COOLER MASTER Elite 110 Mini-ITX Configuration specifics: graphics are trying to be run via the motherboard dvi port (that others have suggested to use when booting) This system properly boots via UEFI (recognizing all hardware installed), and gets to clover . I've tried booting clover with several boot flags such as -v -x npci=off , etc. But when I try to do this, it brings up apple logo and then has as error (see attached: 20161027_173820.jpg ). That error is: panic(......."Unable to find driver for this platform: ACPI ..... IOPlatformExpert.cpp:1665") How can I resolve this? I'm really at a loss. Thank you!

  14. I am trying to install Yosemite 10.10 on my AMD PC. My specs are AMD FX 6200, GeForce GT 740, ASRock 970 Pro3 R2.0, 16GB GSkill 1600MHz RAM, 3TB Seagate HDD. I use the boot flags "/amd npci=0x3000 PCIRootUID=1 -v" and I get to the installer. I format a 150GB partition on my HDD to Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) and I followed a tutorial to customize the install. I then click install and after 5 or so minutes I get an error saying that it failed to extract Essentials.pkg. I've tried only using 1 8GB RAM stick, and I've put them in different slots. I have also tried using brand new 8GB RAM, Adata, two 4GB sticks, and I've tried using only one of them. I also have no other drives connected other than the USB drive and my HDD. I have also tried removing my PCIe network adapter. What else can I do to fix this problem? Thanks

  22. Need some help guys. Fairly new to the DSDT world and this is my first hackintosh build. Been working on my DSDT for almost a week now and I'm stumped. I did a clean native DSDT extraction using clover and decompiled it. I've managed to get it down to 0 errors and have taken care of 20 or so other warnings give or take a few, but now I'm stuck again. I normally like to take care of this myself as it is gratifying when your able to do things on your own accord (with some research and a little help from guys/gals such as yourselves of course), but I've done my due diligence and I'm raising the white flag. Here are some screenshots: Also this may or may not be related, but is this screenshot below something to worry about? In the beginning of my DSDT, there are unresolved argument warnings relating to external devices?? I've attached my clean native DSDT (DSDT.dsl) and my patched one (DSDTb.dsl) where I've gotten it down to 0 errors, but 25 warnings still exist. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks DSDT.dsl DSDTb.dsl
  23. [FAQ] Hackintosh Haswell CPU Installation and Overclocking Introduction: This is a small but valuable guide to those who are seeking to install a Haswell CPU on a hackintosh. The primary objective is to answer any questions that some may have. I could not find many answers for these questions. At least, a clear informative source. This very much applies to others intel chips. The process is all the same. For me, it was a 4790k. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Can I Install a Haswell CPU without Reinstalling OSX? Yes. Very likely. I did not have to reinstall making the jump from an i5 4430 to the i7 4790k. What Do I Need to Do to Get My CPU Working Correctly? You've heard the term "speed step" or "power management" or even "Frequency Scaling". This is the power saving feature that intel has designed to decrease the frequency (thus, power consumption) when the CPU is not under load. This is fixed by generating an SSDT file (see below). If you're a novice to the subject, you may have also been confused by the terms C States and P States. Simply, the more states you have, the more power consumption levels you have. With only 1 P and C state, your CPU may only scale down to one low frequency, instead of multiple, which is how it was designed. Anyway, i'm not an expert on C/P states. As long as my frequency scales, i'm happy with that. There is a way to check P and C states, with a kext called AppleIntelInfo.kext which (if im not mistaken) was developed by PikerAlpha. Secondly, you should have the best SMBIOS profile loaded in Clover Config. For the 4790k, iMac 14,2 is the most compatible with my GTX650. iMac 15,2 gave a black screen at boot. To determine the best profile, a good rule of thumb is to select a system that uses the same CPU socket as you have, and even the same processor (if possible.) Lastly, DO NOT use NullCPUPowermanagement.kext with an SSDT! In fact, NullCPUPowermanagement.kext is an abomination to a true hackintosh. It should not be required. How to Generate SSDT? The process is easy. PikerAlpha generated a program that creates this via terminal. It is called ssdtPRgen.sh. SSDTs are then place in EFI>CLOVER>ACPI>PATCHED. The shell script can be downloaded with a quick google search. Piker's GitHUB will provide a download. The script is ran inside terminal. The ssdt file(s) export to a location designated inside the terminal window. Just pay attention to the script output. Note*****: It is best to generate an SSDT AFTER you have overclocked the system. <-- How to Confirm if CPU Power Management is Working? Download the latest Intel Power Gadget from their website and simply run it. Once it is open, view your CPU frequency chart. If it is moving up and down, you're good. If it is staying constant, it is not working and the SSDT is either not being loaded or is more likely generated incorrectly. SSDT requires no special kernel flags. But it must be installed in the right location of the EFI partition. OVERCLOCKING a Hackintosh - HOW?? There is absolutely no information on how to do this. Mostly because its the exact same process as a PC. However, theres some things you should know. About This Mac will never show your overclocked speed. Thats pretty understandable. Overclocking must be done from the BIOS on Hackintoshes Best stress test softwares for OSX are : CPUTest, Prime 95, Cinebench, and Geekbench. Monitor temps with Intel Power Gadget tool. Monitor voltages with ONLY HWMonitor. HW Monitor is accurate if fakeSMC is installed. But I do think there are some inaccuracies with the voltages. Other than that, there really is no way on OSX to see voltages and important CPU data. Let me know if this has helped. Mods, correct my info if it is incorrect. Appreciation: PikerAlpha, RampageDev, OSX86.net, InsanelyMac, others.

  25. Hello, I downloaded OS X Lion.app and used Uni Beast to create a bootable USB install drive. It gets me to the installer screen and when I go ahead and click on install, it loads for a while and then my computer freezes, so I can't even save the install log to the USB, help please?
