  1. Hi to everybody, after trying and re-trying to install El Capitan and Sierra on my notebook asus x55c unsuccessly, I tried with Lion and I could install and boot. Well it's not working properly because I don't have compatible drivers installed yet. This the first time I'm using a mac operative system. I tried to install a kext for my graphic card Intel HD 3000 through the Kext Utility application and it seems to work. Can you suggest me compatible kexts for my notebook and os version please? Thanks in advance! P.S. I write down here my notebook model specifications. I hope these info can be useful for you: Processor: Intel® Core™ i3 Processor Chipset: Intel® Chief River Chipset HM76 Memory: DDR3 1600/1333 MHz SDRAM *1 Display: 15.6" 16:9 HD (1366x768) LED Backlight Graphic: Integrated Intel® HD Graphics 3000/4000 (On Windows 8 x64 I use the Intel Graphics Driver V9.17.10.2875.01) Storage: 2.5" SATA 500GB 5400rpm/7200rpm Optical Drive: Blu-Ray DVD Combo (Optional); Super-Multi DVD Card Reader: 2 -in-1 card reader ( SD/ MMC) (Alcor Multi-Card Reader Driver V3.8.142.61628 ) Camera: 0.3 Mega Pixel web camera Networking: Integrated 802.11 b/g/n; Built-in Bluetooth™ V4.0 (Optional); 10/100/1000 Base T (I use the following drivers: Athros LAN Driver V2.1.0.7, Atheros Wireless Lan Driver and Application V10.0.0.221, Atheros BlueTooth driver V8.0.0.206) Audio: Built-in Speakers And Microphone (On Windows 8 x64 I use the Realtek Audio Driver V6.0.1.6761) TouchPad: (ASUS Smart Gesture V.1.0.35)

Here you can find my complete set of kexts. They are separated in two folders. After installing RTGNICv2.0.6For10.7 I had to manually remove RTL8169 kext, because sometimes I got KP, not always, every third or fourth time. For Bluetooth you also have to add this to kext patches in CLOVER. Without this BT works OOB, but with additional kext and this patch, BT works even after cold boot and after sleep, no issues ever again. Credits http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2925-bluetooth-firmware-uploader/ Name: IOBluetoothHostControllerUSBTransport Find: 0F850701 Replace: 0F840701 Comment: Fix Bluetooth 30 seconds delay patch For audio and mine is ALC269VB Device ID 28 I had to change igain from 90 to 0 in info.plist and install kext straight to S/L/E, you HAVE to remove AppleHDA kext before that. DONT FORGET sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions after installing KEXTS please I am using easykct pro and neer had a single problem. WIthout igain fix I had static noise after every boot. This is voodooHDA kext and all credits goes to him ofc, except for changing this igain thing, and that can do every better trained monkey like me Audio is working excellent, headphones and MIC on apple headphones is working, didn't test mic port on laptop to be honest, but BT headphones and everything else works fine. Other kext as stated goes to 10.12 folder or Other, in clover kext folder, for some strange reason I keep both of them synced and populated with same kexts I dont have factory installed WiFi-BT card, I bought separately AR5B95 ( AR9285+AR3011) Ah yes, for some reason I am using ELAN touchpad, no prefpane, but it is working as it should. Credits mainly go to gygabyte666 for creating this useful tutorial and creating the mach_kernel to help me boot U{censored}. So I'm installing this laptop for a friend, my support will be limited. What you need to know: -This system has a locked MSR 0xE2, If you are a previous hackint0sh user this means AICPUPM.kext patch is useless, read more about it here -While using gygabyte's kernel, you may need to boot with -f for everything until you patch your kernel in a newer version of OS X. Suggested Install: -8GB USB Installer created using U{censored} 3.0.1 using 10.9.0 Mavericks (nothing newer) -Replace mach_kernel on USB with gygabyte's patched XCPM free kernel (only compatible with 10.9.0) -boot with -f -if that doesn't work, boot with -f -x -v (and if you can't get in, send me a screenshot of your panic) -Please just use this method for installation, upon updating to 10.9.2, you will need to patch your kernel using this patch by RehabMan (this guy is awesome) Notes: Please read all the links I'm posting!!! Honestly, I don't own this laptop and this is mainly a reference for people who have never tried hackint0shing or someone looking for a starter kit for this particular laptop, many features can still be improved, I'm just posting this cause no one has for this laptop yet!

  9. If someone could list the steps on how to INJECT kexts. That would be SUPER HELPFUL to those of us from BEFORE CLOVER. Are there any instructions for using CLOVER CONFIGURATOR? Are there explanations of the different FORMS that APPEAR when any one of the subparts of CONFIG>PLIST are highlighted/selected. I get a different FORM on the screen for each section from ACPI to SYSTEM PARAMETERS. Am I CALLING UP A DEFAULT config.plist edit tool then? How to use each form is not obvious. When you inject kexts in a subpart of EFI, where are the different places that KEXTS are INJECTED? ? ?

  11. Hi first time posting but this seems like a pretty helpful place, I'm working on my first hackintosh using the following hardware: ? MOBO:AsusM5a99fx CPU:FX8350 RAM:16GB DDR3 1866 Crucial 250GB SSD ? I was able to get a copy of the Yosemite installer, and I plan to work with it using a windows pc. I've found one guide so far on setting up an installer from scratch but I'm looking for more information: ? what kexts are typically needed for this type of installer? ? As I troubleshoot to get this working, how can I change core files of the installer? ? I've seen a lot about DSDTs and CPU power management but I can't find a DSDT for my motherboard. How can I go about making one or get around this obstacle? ? If you guys can point out any guides, threads or pretty pictures that might answer these questions, I'll be extremely grateful!

  14. Hello guys

? After a lot of testing I managed to get OS X 10.9 and 10.8.2 to work stable on my Lenovo G580 (2189), now I like to share my process with you. ? OS X 10.9 Mavericks with U{censored}: This tutorial is shorter than my older one (OS X 10.8.2 with iATKOS ML2) because it's less detailed. If you have problems to understand my instructions try solving the problem with reading the other guide, still this guide and the Mountain Lion guide are independent from each other. ? For laptop specifications and compatibility take a look into the OS X 10.8.2 guide. ? You will needU{censored} prepared flash drive, follow only step 1 and 2 of this guide (tick Laptop and Legacy USB support in U{censored} setup) (if you have problems use this interactive online guide)The kexts (kexts4mavericks.zip) which are found in the attached files section at the end of the post, the newest version of MB{censored} for Mavericks and KB{censored}, which are found?here?(you will need a {censored} account (it’s free))Setup Set your graphic device to UMA graphic in BIOS.Boot from your USB (may be plugged in a USB 3.0 port) using the boot flags "IGPlatformID=01660003 IGPEnabler=Yes".Go through the setup (create 2 partitions for dual boot; if you update from another version I recommend to just deleting the actual OS X partition so you don't need to reinstall Windows)On restart boot OS X (not the setup) from your USB flash drive again and use the same boot flags as before.Setup up your OS X.At this point you can optionally install the combo update, restart and boot your OS X from USB (with the boot flags) again. You will have working ethernet, download the kext4mavericks.zip, MB{censored} for Mavericks and KB{censored}. Alternatively you can put it on a flash drive and plug it in your laptop (use the 2.0 port, I guess it won't recognize the USB when you plug it in the 3.0 port).Move the Extra folder in the package to your drive you installed OS X on (since it is a clean OS X installation no Extra folder will exist at this point)Run MB{censored} and tick the following kexts and install (skip "Quick Start", click on "Drivers"; also ignore all fails and install the newest version of the drivers):VoodooHDA (install v2.8.2, worked very well for me (had problems with v2.8.4))FakeSMCPS/2 Keyboard/Mice and TrackpadsAtheros - Shailua's ALXEthernetPatched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement --> OS X 10.9.0Chimera{censored} Black (optional)? ? ?9. The kexts (kexts.zip) which are found in the attached files section at the end of the post, the newest version of MB{censored} for Mountain Lion and KB{censored}, which are found here (you will need a {censored} account (it’s free)) ? Setup Press F2 while your laptop is booting to reach the BIOS setup and switch the graphic device to UMA graphic and exit saving the changes, this is necessary because OS X can't handle Nvidia Optimus which is used in our laptop. If you changed your BIOS settings before, I recommend to restore to optimized defaults before doing this step.
?While your laptop is at the boot screen press F12, you will reach the boot device selection menu. Now boot from the iATKOS ML2 DVD.
?When the DVD is loaded press F8 to enter startup options. Type "-x UseKernelCache=No" (the bootloader handles with the QWERTY key layout, some keys on your keyboard may be moved). ?Wait about 15 minutes, the OS X installation is loading.

Answer: It may be necessary to change the PID (product ID) and the VID (vendor ID) of your Bluetooth driver. ? Problem: Dual booting with windows. Answer: ? 1.?? For dual boot you have to change back your graphic device to switchable graphics again (if you need the graphics card in Windows) in your BIOS (F2 while booting), don’t forget to exit saving changes and it is very important to change back to UMA graphic when using OS X, otherwise you will not be able to boot into OS X. ? 2.?? Press F12 when your laptop is starting to get to the boot device selection menu and boot from your Windows DVD/flash drive (whatever you’re using for your windows setup, for me it is a Windows 7 disk) ? 3.?? Go through the setup, choose custom (not Upgrade) when you’re asked. Now choose the drive you formatted for windows in the OS X installation and format this drive again („Drive options (advanced)“ will show you the format function). Go ahead installing windows on this drive. ? 4.?? When windows finished installing and you reached your desktop, put in the iATKOS DVD again and shut down windows. ? 5.?? Change your graphic device to UMA graphic again in your BIOS (F2 while booting) if you changed it to switchable graphics before and exit saving changes. ? 6.?? Boot from the DVD (F12 while booting) and boot OS X (not the installer) in the chameleon boot screen with no startup options. ? 7.?? If you dislike windows of course you can do the same with other operation systems (e.g. Ubuntu) too, you can also make a triple boot Hackintosh and so on. ? 9.?? Now shut down OS X and boot into windows to set it up. Install the drivers which you get here. The drivers you need are the following (all downloadable in the link I just gave you): ? ·????? Chipset ·????? Audio ·????? Bluetooth ·????? Camera ·????? Card Reader ·????? Ethernet ·????? Intel Management Engine Interface ·????? Intel Rapid Storage ·????? Touchpad ·????? USB 3.0 ·????? Answer: Go to System preferences --> Sound --> set the right output (for me it was: Speaker (Analog); I recommend not changing the VoodooHDA settings if you don’t know what you’re doing) ? Problem: My Windows clock is always different from my OS X one. ? Answer: Simple solution here ? Thank you for checking out my guide, I hope it was a little bit helpful and please give feedback. 15. Some users (Newbies) don't know about this function. In this forum is possible to use the file manager to upload the files (photos/.plists) or kexts. With that we don't need using other sites to send files. ? ? Wait for the uploading finish. ? After this...post!?? ? ? ? When you upload some file (.plist or kext) try to compressed the file, after that you can send the file. Avoiding the error messages. ? 16. If you have a Hackintosh (Desktop / Notebook) and has 2 graphics video (E.g:?Intel + AMD//Intel + Nvidia/Geforce) and if you have trouble for loading the OS X do this: Boot with single user. (Clover press space bar and select "Boot with single user" and with you use Chameleon use this flag-s) 1º- Intel + AMD = Remove the AMD?kexts with these commands: cd /Volumes/ ls ( list of available partitions on the system ) cd “OS X partition name” mkdir /Backup cp –rf /System/Library/Extensions/AMD* /Backup rm –rf /System/Library/Extensions/AMD* ( if you want to delete AMD kexts ) 2º- Intel + Nvidia = Remove the Nvidia kexts with these commands: cd /Volumes/ ls ( list of available partitions on the system ) cd “OS X partition name” mkdir /Backup cp –rf /System/Library/Extensions/NVDA* /Backup rm –rf /System/Library/Extensions/NVDA * ( if you want to delete NVDA kexts ) If you choose not delete the Nvidia kexts, you can just disable them via clover with:nv_disable=1 3º - Intel + Geforce = Remove the Geforce kexts with these commands: cd /Volumes/ ls ( list of available partitions on the system ) cd “OS X partition name” mkdir /Backup cp –rf /System/Library/Extensions/Geforce* /Backup rm –rf /System/Library/Extensions/Geforce * ( if you want to delete Geforce kexts ) 4º : If above methods don’t work, then you have to move the Intel kexts, but that only happens in rare cases such as HD 3000 with HM7x chipset (Core i 2nd Generation) or HD 4000 chipset HM6x (Core i 3rd generation). Although it is common have a Ivy with HM7x and Sandy with HM6x, sometimes the opposite happens, and that is what hinders. cd /Volumes/ ls ( list of available partitions on the system ) cd “OS X partition name” mkdir /Backup cp –rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelHD* /Backup rm –rf /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelHD * ( if you want to delete AppleIntelHD kexts ) And to get the Intel HD works, you have to apply a patch in DSDT and be happy! This is a simple, fast kernel extension (kext) installer that I created for personal use and thought I'd share with users here. Its created following Apple's guidelines for installing extensions, meaning that it does not force-recreate caches like other kext installer utilities (which caused me some strange issues)

  20. Hey, I installed N{censored}'s mountain lion on my samsung ativ 2 (np270e5v) and it worked well. I have 2 issues: 1) internet not working 2) no sound I don't really care abound sounds, since I would only use the laptop for webdesign tasks, but I must have internet to do my job. I tried MB{censored} (tried every singel driver at least once) but I faield. Searched for hm55 kexts and read a hundred tutorial but I found nothing. I would be very glad if anyone could give me some advice!
  21. Good evening. In advance I ask to forgive for transfer. I have a Lenovo Z570 laptop. Delivered to Lion 10.7.4. I ask for help with kexts Characteristics: Intel Core i5-2430M (2.4GHz) DDR3 Memory 4GB (Descrete) Intel HD3000 Graphics/Nvidia GT540M 2GB I am the beginner so forgive please.
  22. Hello I recently decided to install OS X Mavericks primarily for app development purposes so that I don't have to use VMWare under Windows 7. The set-up I have currently involves a triple-boot with Windows 7, OS X and Ubuntu. OS X is on a separate hard disk by itself so I'm pretty sure there aren't any disk-related problems arising from the boot configuration. ? I'm using a laptop with Intel 7 Series Chipset/C216, 32 GB RAM, i7 3740QM, NVIDIA Optimus with Intel HD Graphics 4000 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX670MX. Bluetooth seems to be able to work under OS X, although the intel centrino 6235 wireless is unlikely to work (I have looked at iwidarwin but currently I am trying to get the system to boot properly) ? I used myHack to create a bootable USB to install OS X, and after a bit of fiddling found that it required safe mode with GraphicsEnabler=no to boot correctly. That wasn't really a problem because it was just the installer (or so I thought). When I booted up the newly installed OS X using the USB as a boot loader (my BIOS doesn't support GPT partitions), again I found that OS X would only properly boot in safe mode (without safe mode it would hang at the boot logo with spinning gear and beach ball). I did a couple of cleanup tasks to try to get it to boot normally without the USB which included converting the disk from GPT to MBR and installing the Chameleon boot loader and installing ethernet and system kexts with MB{censored}. I managed to get ethernet drivers to work and it is now possible to boot directly from my hard disk into OS X (no USB required). The graphics under OS X are stuck with using the Chameleon boot loader's VESA 64MB intel graphics (safe mode doesn't load intel HD drivers) ? I'm not using any custom DSDT (just left the default one there although I suspect myHack probably modified it to work properly) and just using standard multi beast kexts. ? Unfortunately I still couldn't boot normally under OS X after cleaning out kexts (nvidia, intel graphics, etc) so I did a little bit of poking around in the logs to find what was causing this issue, and found that in a normal boot (not safe mode), the logonwindow fails to start due to a segmentation fault. (see logs below). I then disabled virtual memory paging with "sudo launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.dynamic_pager.plist"?to see if I could get any different results, but it still failed to start with "bad instruction". The logon window launch daemon and about 4 other tasks all?seem to fail in a similar way. I've already ruled out corruption as a possibility because the same logon window app loads?perfectly in safe mode. ? What I would like to know is: What drivers could be causing segmentation faults/errors that are not loaded in safe mode that stop the logon window from opening in non-safe mode? What exactly is the difference between safe mode and normal booting in terms of kexts, system daemons and other system processes being loaded? (especially ones that could cause segmentation faults/possible memory corruption)Is there any way I could modify/patch drivers or the logon window so that it will start? Is it actually worth spending time to get OS X to boot with this issue?Any suggestions would be very much appreciated, and I would really like to get this to work (saves me from having to use VMWare for app development). Install these two kexts to get full support of your AMD 7850! (AMD7000Controller.kext, AMDRadeonX4000.kext) Works great on Mavericks, Lion not tested. Please give some feedback, if you succeed!
  24. Hello everyone. This is my first post, but I am in no way a newbie. I have been hackintoshing for quite a while now, and recently my Asus k50ij notebook crapped out, and I had to purchase a new computer. I have had some issues installing Mavericks alongside Windows 8, but I have been able to self troubleshoot and solve them. Now, the only thing not working about my new laptop on the Mavericks side is the wifi. I have a Realtek RTL8188E. I've tried installing the only kext I can find (Lnx2Mac's Realtek RTL81xx Driver) with no luck. Do I need an injector as I did with my Asus before? Or an IO Family kext. Please advise me. Specs are as follows Toshiba Satellite C55A-3000 Intel® Celeron® CPU 1037U Intel ® HD Graphics Toshiba MQ01ABF050 (Hard drive) Realtek RTL8188E Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC Qualcomm Atheros AR8162 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30) Anything else let me know!
