  8. Hey guys, I have a laptop which is Toshiba Satellite L550 and I have dual boot on it. I have both Windows 7 and Mountain Lion. I can't seem to find the drivers for the laptop? Does anyone know where I can get them or not?
  9. Hey Guys, I'm new to the hackintosh scene, and I need a hand with installing OS X on my Toshiba Satellite L850. I have got USB's for iAtkos ML2, iAtkos ML3U (My computer is UEFI and pre-installed Windows 8) and iAtkos Snow Leopard. Here is some info of my attempts at installing: ML2: I had trouble with this version after installing all the drivers in the Laptop category in the customize menu, but I also installed Graphics Enabler too. After install had finished, it went to the boot screen fine, but then froze on the spinning wheel after about 15 seconds. I tried running with GraphicsEnabler=No and Safe Mode, but still, no luck. ML3U: My friend, who has 3 PC's running OS X ML, as well as a Macbook, gave me ML3U after trying ML2. It was on a USB Stick like normal, and he isn't a dick so he wouldn't simply fake installing it. After I booted in UEFI mode and Secure Boot Disabled, I selected USB, and It gave me a Black Screen. Nothing. Nothing at all. Snow Leopard: My friend gave me a DVD of Snow Leopard iAtkos and when we installed, we installed with totally bare drivers. No Drivers at all. Then, after install we got a boot loop when you could J u s t see the apple logo, for like a millisecond, then my laptop would reboot. Any Help Would Be Appreciated! Thanks, itonykexts86
  10. Hello, community. I've been following this forum for a while now and built two hachintoshes myself (only snow leopard) and i would appreciate if anyone can guide me in installing osx ML (if possible) as a fully usable operating system (that means working graphics acceleration) on my laptop that will ship tomorrow. The laptop's specs are: Model: Toshiba Satellite S50-A-10R Processor: Ivy Bridge Intel Core i5-3230M Video chipset: Intel HD Graphics 4000 Nvidia Geforce GT 740M 2GB 802.11 b/g/n 150Mb/s wireless(Don't know the manufacturer yet) Gigabit Ethernet (same.... don't know the manufacturer) I also don't know the Sound Card Other uninteresting stuff for osx (RAM, Hard Disk, etc...) I will come with more info once my laptop has arrived As i said... I installed osx SL on two other laptops: one an easy try and nice succes and another one a great pain in the a** and a complete failure (AMD + ATI video...). I know a few ways of installing osx, but i never installed ML and I should like to know if I should use a distro and if so, which distro, or if i should go for an external bootloader(iB{censored}, ModCD) and the retail DVD. Back then i usually did this through trial and error, but that takes time and i don't have that kind of time now. I must mention that i have no USB drives available for installing... so only DVDs(Single or Dual Layer). I would really appreciate if you could guide me in the right direction with installing and tell me if i am going to need any additional kexts or stuff to get working graphics, sound, wireless, etc. I know the Intel HD video card is supported natively by osx, but i want to use the Nvidia one(Don't know if you can switch between them on osx)
  11. It has been a little bit of trial and error, but extremely easy install of iAtkos L2 on a Toshiba Satellite A505-S6960: T6500 2.1ghz Dual Core Processor 4GB of RAM Intel GMA4500MHD integrated Graphics I swapped the Wifi Card for one out of a broken Mac Mini, so that has helped by working out of the box. **I have support for the graphics, but 1366x768 is either a really horribly grainy resolution for OSX or I am still missing something. I do not have a Battery bar, nor do I really know how to find one? Personally, it seems like an impossible task to track down compatible kexts, by hardware compatibility, and then by OS version. There has to be an easier way??? **I have USB mouse and keyboard, but no trackpad, or built in keyboard support, though they worked during install from the DVD. **USB only supports devices that were plugged in prior to boot. No hard drives, flash drives, iPhone, iPod etc **No Audio *I have a VGA & HDMI port, VGA only recognizes monitor if manually select detect display. I think I chose an incorrect resolution because no whenever I detect, laptop goes glue with a gritty curser all across it, and monitor says "Out of Range!" *I don't have any hangups during boot -v. It actually boots up with no boot flags from user. Basically I haven't messed with it too much, as this is my 3rd install & I haven't seen an error or panic yet. Also^ This is installed on a 160GB Intel Sata2 SSD. MBP with Windows 7. What do you guys know? I'm going to clone this to a couple other HDDs I have, so I can start digging around. Im headed to the downloads section to donate right now, so that I can download without limits. /Lucas *ALSO! My Finder crashes all the time, If I'm not clicking at "Grandma Speed" it will crash & the dock will drop & pop back up.
  12. Hey all, TO NOTE: THIS IS INSTALLED ALONG SIDE MY WINDOWS 7 PRO ON THE SAME HDD. I PARTITIONED THE HDD GIVING 150GB TO HACKINTOSH. I have gone through all the different loaders for Mountain Lion and I ran into various problems such as the boot0:error and not being to boot without being in safe mode. As of now I have the problem of not being able to boot without being in safe mode. I have tried various boot flags such as PCIRootUID=0 and combinations of -x -f -v I cpus=1 (which i used to boot the installer). Even after installing the OS and loading drivers I cannot boot and I get the stop sign over the apple so I boot in safe mode run the post installer entering my name and the password for my comp then go about trying to use the OS but as far as my understanding is when I installed iAtkos it's supposed to have installed my bootloader however I'm missing the ability to use chameleon so I tried to install it using MB{censored} and I still have problems so I tried to update the kernel kext also and boot using the KernelCache=Yes (that didn't work so I tried =No that didn't work either I got a kernel panic). Also I tried updating the chameleon boot plists also that didn't work. The errors I have got so far to conclude. -Root device not found -Stop sign above apple -Not being able to boot without the help of safe mode or my usb My Toshiba Laptop Specs: i3-2377m 1.5ghz processor Intel HD3000 on-board graphics 640gb HDD 6gb ram atheros ar8151 pci-e (Wireless) (Tell me if you need anything else) Any help or a push in the right direction will be appreciated :afro:
  13. Greetings to all of the Group, on this occasion, being new to the group, I need your help. I wanted to install iAtkos, installs fine but when I restart, it starts loading normally but over 1 to 2 minutes is frozen, try installing leaving the customization options it brings, also check the video and still the same, but with N{censored}'s if I pass Normal and starts all good, but I have problems with the video driver and wifi, I leave a short description of my pc: Toshiba C845-SP4207SL PROCESSOR* Processor Intel® Core? i3-2370M MEMORY* Configured with 4 GB DDR3 1333MHz HARD DISK* Hard Disk of 500 GB (5400 RPM) Serial ATA GRAPHICS ENGINE* Graphics Intel® HD Graphics 3000 HDMI 1x HDMI® USB PORT 1 port USB v3.0, 2 ports USB v2.0, Port LAN RJ-45 WIRELESS LOCAL AREA NETWORK* Network Connection Wi-Fi® Wireless (802.11b/g/n) Realtek RTL8723AE BLUETOOTH Bluetooth® versión 4.0 I appreciate your valuable help! and forgive the bad English
  14. Hello all! So back in March 2012 sometime I installed iDeneb Hackintosh onto my Toshiba laptop but using a spare hard drive, I didn't stick with it and went back to my original hard drive with Windows on it. Now the otherday my hard drive stopped working so I am using the one with iDeneb on it. I updated it using "Software Update..." and I am running version 10.5.8! It all works fine, I have my iTunes & Skype etc but there are a few problems I have encountered and I will list them below. If anyone could help me with my problem that'd be great! Baring in mind this is my only working hard drive though, and as a student I am very low on money! List of problems: - Cannot connect wirelessly (Assuming it's the network card not being compatible, but what can I do about this?) - 3.5mm Audio and mic jacks not working - Minecraft (Crashes, I have seeked help on their forum and they believe it is the display drivers that are out of date, how do I update them on a Hackintosh? I have tried "Software Update..." but it finds no drivers!) My specs: Toshiba Satellite L300-13R 2GB RAM 1.87 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor 120GB HDD I believe these are the only problems I have encountered as of yet, I will edit this post (If I can, this is my first post on this forum) if anymore creep up! Please post for more information if needed! Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any help you offer!

  16. Hey guys I've tried a million guides and a million installs but I'm having some issues. My co-worker and I are getting hung up while booting. 17. Hello guys OSX86 and congratulations for this forum. I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite C660 2LM/2QZ. I managed to install Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 with iAktos_L2 (the only version that works). When the PC is rebooted after installation, if first started normally when there was the Apple logo with loading the computer emitted a strange sound and the screen appeared row and after a few seconds he went in kernel panic. I still managed to start using the command mac os-x for safe start. When I got to the configuration of the mac keyboard not working and the mouse did not flow well (even though I selected the driver ps / 2 installation), the mouse ran already bad installation. The keyboard I could make it work by changing the Windows 7 folders kext on the partition of mac os (I used MacDrive to access it) and I also changed the mouse, but there have been no changes to the mouse. When are then entered in mac os wifi, audio and ethernet not working even though I had always selected the drivers installation. For the moment, I do not need ethernet, but wifi and audio, so I tried to download and install the kext, but without success. I ask you kindly if you can give me the link to download the right kext working or tell me ways to make everything work. 18. Hi everyone could someone tell me if it's possible to use USB 3.0 on a Toshiba Satellite L755 with iATKOS L2? Everytime I try to use the OS X breaks and I was wondering if it was possible to use it. Thanks in advance
  19. Hi everyone, Im new to this forum and have been reading up on hackintosh in the last few months. I finally want to take the step to make my toshiba a hackintosh. It is a Toshiba Satellite L670-1JP I currently have windows 7 on one NTFS partition, i created a second partition of 80Gb in FAT32 as primary. Seems to have what it takes in hardware, in running is AHCI mode. But i am wondering what is the best to install? Should i go for snow leopard or mountain lion? I dont want to format my entire harddisk, just install it to the partition i made. And select my OS with acronis OS Selector. So my questions are, which are my options, what is the easiest to install, and will the setup i described work for a hackintosh. below i have put my specs. I hope someone can get me on the way. type : Intel® Core™ i5-480M Processor snelheid : 2.66 / 2.93 Turbo GHz Front Side Bus : 1.066 MHz 3rd level cache : 3 MB RAM memory : 4,096 (2,048 + 2,048) MB graphics card : ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5650 If there is more info needed to answer my questions please let me know.
  20. Hi: I'm trying to install Mac OS X 10.7 Lion on my Toshiba L675, Core i3, Intel HD Video, 4GB of RAM, 500GB of HDD, my question is there is any guide out there of any installation on this model or in a similar one? I've searched but nothing found. Any suggestions?
  21. i need the right wifi drive for this toshiba running lion, please help me,thank you
  22. update bios and dissable speedstepping as this causes an irq conflict with firewire! Toshiba M700 Tablet 10.6 Snow Leopard dual boot Hi, I thought that I would write this guide for anyone who has an M700, also as my brain regularly let's me down it would be useful to keep my notes somewhere handy!... oh and forgive my poor literacy... here we go... I have started with absolutely no mac experience whatsoever.. never even seen one lol, So I decided to set about installing OSX on my M700, first I downloaded all kinds of distro's (modified installation's) and tested their functionality, I started with Leopard and found that Ideneb (osx 10.5.6) worked near enough out the box, all that was required was to enter option's at the bootloader and select the -s -x flags (when prompted to press f8 for options.. press f8 then type -s -x and hit enter). anyways that's another story, if you read the title thats not why your here, on to the meat! First off if you don't like headaches then start with a fresh formatted install, it is possible to use an existing windows install but hassle, The following notes are mostly tested with a few assumptions (brave!) a usb mouse will be needed for the install, regardless of what read for 10.5 install multicore must be left on in bios.. everything default and booting from rom of course! I actually have the fingerprint reader disabled so can't comment. need usb thumb drive(s) & blank disk at some point of course you will not get wireless working without changing the internal wireless card (under the keyboard) for a mac compatible so just don't bother download IATKOS S3 V2 this distro works well with the M700 (respect to IATKOS!) iATKOS S3 - Hackintosh Snow Leopard 10.6.3 for PC and burn boot the rom with -s -x flag's and select english if you are open the disk utility select the main drive and choose partition, create partition's sized as you will I did this HackinTOSH 40GB mac journaled WINDOWS 80GB msdos fat DOCUMENTS (as much as possible!) msdos fat UBANTU 20GB (for later) msdos fat This creates a hybrid GPT disk unlike the tradidtional MBR partition scheme the disk function's like that of a mac and is a requirement if you wish to run OS update's the GPT disk has a hidden 200mb partition named EFI that mac doesnt use but just likes it to be there the MBR still exists and protects the GPT partition scheme Windows is constricted to 4 partitions as it uses the MBR so windows needs to be on one of the first 3 (+EFI totals 4) When you finished partitioning close the disk utility and then.... restart and install windows... shut down and get your windows disk in (win7-64!) boot from the disk choose advanced options and format the windows partition to NTFS the rest of that bit is for a Macroshaft forum, Reboot the Iatkos disk again -s -x this time just next and customise and have the following options selected Chameleon RC5 !!! (windows friendly :-) Extra Directory Fake SMC Dissabler RTC Evo Reeboot Apple PS2 X3100 EFI string GMA 950 27A2 X3100 framebuffer next..... make a coffee ! (takes about 20) keep an eye as when it reboot's you need to eject the disk, HackinTOSH Should now load and you can begin filling in the pieces as per below guides, I haven't actually tried that method but should work, I had to do the following as I installed mac first and have included this for the purpose of information..... after installing mac then windows mbr is haggered so.. /boot Iatkos, get network going as below, partition thumbdrive to macjounaled name "FLASH" download GPTsync: enhanced gptsync tool - InsanelyMac Forum install to the flash drive and get gptsync on the flashdrives root, reboot iatkos to install environment and do the following open diskutil and unmount HackinTOSH close diskutil open terminal and cd /volumes/flash ./gptsync disk0 (yes or whatever til back at bash) fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 p f l write exit reboot with iatkos and select HackinTOSH download Chameleon RC5: Windows friendly installer Chameleon 2 RC5 Installer (r693) - Downloads - OSx86.net install and done!\ now you can dualboot win and osx the following will sort the rest of things out, firewire, delete AppleHPET.kext from s/l/e (system/library/extensions) reboot firewire appears in network, now reinstall AppleHPET.kext with Kextwizard: Kext Wizard 3.7.10 - Downloads - OSx86.net wired network, intelE1000e.kext: IntelE1000e.kext - Downloads - OSx86.net audio: VoodooHDA.kext: (with fixed volume control) VoodooHDA Volume Control Fix [uPDATED][REUPLOADED] - InsanelyMac Forum bootloader gui http://forum.voodooprojects.org/index.php/topic,1737.0.html this gets renamed "default" within create a folder "themes" within E/E (extra extensions) E/E needs to be unhidden to see it use this http://www.brooksandrus.com/downloads/show_files.zip screen res as per this guide Fixing Scrambled,Stretched, or Wrong Resolution Laptop Display Problems - InsanelyMac Forum and some! boot windows, open regedit, navigate HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\enum\display\tosxxx?(not generic)\(digits)\deviceparameters and save the key as a text file open the text file and you will see the screen's EDID as a lot of hex digits comma seperated with some dashes in the middle, you need to remove all the dashes commas spaces and carriage returns so the edid is a long string and save the text file to a thumb drive, download plisteditpro Fat Cat Software and unpack, change from sytem preferences displays the color of the display, this creates a directory and plist we need navigate /System/Library/Displays/Overrides/DisplayVendorID-756e6b6e/ the file DisplayProductID-717 can be dragged to Plisteditpro edit IODisplayEDID in the top half, replace the string with the one from windows, close save, check there is no extension on the file (get info rtclk) and reboot. 24. Hi All, I?m in desperate need of a kext or DSDT for my Toshiba Satellite hackintosh. I am dual booting Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.7 and Windows 7. On the hackintosh, I have it all working except a few things. To be specific my laptop is the Satellite L755-S5214. I can get internet through the Ethernet, but not through my WIFI adapter. Also, I can?t get sound, or the graphics card to work. I used MB{censored} and installed the kexts, but still a no go on those particular things. Is there somewhere online where I could go when I?m on the hackintosh, plugged in to the Ethernet cable and have it recognize my hardware and find the right drivers/kext for them to work? Or do I have to do it through a customer DSDT? Can anyone help me here!?!? Also, one other issue, I can boot only with the iB{censored} disk. If I take it out, I get stuck at the white apple screen. Thanks in advance for any help!!
