Ok so this laptop of mine is getting on my nerves. I have tried many times unsuccessfully to get Lion to work on my laptop with full QE/CI partially because before now there was no option do disable my ATI laptop graphics in the bios but finally Acer gave a bios update that allows you to choose whether you want switchable graphics or just the integrated one (HD 3000). So I thought happily that finally I could install lion to my laptop and have full screen res. With QE/CI because HD 3000 is officially supported by Lion so I install lion using the unibeast method and after installation I still had no graphics on my monitor but through my hdmi port I realized that I had full res with QE/CI. Now my problem is that I want my laptop monitor to work so naturally I changed the definitions to Macbook Pro 8,1 rebooted and crossed my fingers…….. after reboot my monitor finally showed the lion login window! However Lion must be confused at the physical size of my monitor because I can see half the screen and it is constantly flickering however according to the display settings it is showing my resolution as 1600x900 which is right and the hd 3000 are also being detected correctly with full QE/CI and v-ram. So I can still hook my laptop up to my tv and get perfect picture and graphics but the laptop screen remains stretched out halfway with awfull flickering.
Any help would be appreciated, I kind of hope that it can be fixed by editing my dsdt or the lvds inside the intel kext but I know little about both of these methods and what would cause this.
P.S. I attached a couple of pictures of the laptop currently with Unibeast 10.7.3, Multibeast DSDT (Though my laptop is i7 it does the same thing both ways, Easybeast and Custom DSDT, I decided the DSDT way would give me the most options to deal with my problem.), and no other unnecessary kexts installed.
P.P.S. Ok so it looks like I can't upload the pictures for some reason. Here is the link to my photobucket where they are.
